Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

excuse me, wrong quote

actually, by that same precedent SK should go to US since Korea was split between USSR and USA, that why we have NK and SK instead of united korea, which is what japan had control of

No, it absolutly doesnt make sence content wise. The US is in no need for a sub-TT.
I’d rather see SK be added as a TT with NK. Otherwise it should be added to JP or Israël.

So, the US gets Singapore and SK, what does Japan get?

thailand and indonesia

doesnt have to be a subtree, they have just added vehicles to whatever the most relevant tree is before

The only example of that in the air tree I can think of is the F-111C in Britain, and that doesn’t necessarily help your argument

The Singapore Hunter has 4 hardpoints which means it can theoretically carry 4 AGM65s so I would need it as a CAS aircraft for 9.3-9.7 (depending on AGM65 and AIM9 modification) in the UK TT
And there is no reason to add it to Japan.

F-14A IRIAF is another solid example.

F-111C i get why they gave to UK, was a special case imo

premium tab aircraft are different, I’m talking about tech tree, you don’t need a subtree for random premiums

but they could add a squadron specific aircraft in the SG’s case, ik for US they have only done it for premium tab so far but nothing stopping them from doing it with tt vehicles.

But then it isn’t going to be a steppingstone to more advanced jets, you’ll have the F-15E late and probably the EX by the time they could add the SG as a squadron vehicle.

Is it a gap filler or just a premium tab, because if it’s the first there is basically no precedent, and if it’s the second then you can no longer claim it’s needed

you have to remember that the one other aircraft like what you’re suggesting, the F-111C, was added much lower than top tier

I’m fairly sure the engine is supposed to be on the inside.

They just want every F-15 under the sun. No matter if they need it or not(note they don’t need any non-domestically operated ones)

That’s the UK. Beans aren’t nearly as popular here.

Well, I did say squadron specific (since it’s only operated by 428th FS) but now that you mention it it wouldn’t be a bad squadron vehicle either.

And a squadron vehicle could still serve as a filler for some capability gaps.

And the SG doesn’t have to come immediately, I’d also like to point towards the Su-33 as a squadron vehicle close to top tier

But what I really want for squadron F-15 is the F-15SE

Not the F-15I, IA, or J JSI since those have direct connection to existing trees.

The F-15SA will definitely fill a gap though. It was also operated shortly by the USAF

SU-33 is 1.0 below top tier and isn’t a gap filler. JF-17 would be a better example, but its addition makes more sense as a genuinely unique jet that wouldn’t otherwise be in the Chinese tree, and also leads into the very likely Pakistani subtree for China

historic gap filler is fine but that doesn’t seem to be what you’re arguing for, you want vehicles to fill upcoming gaps in the tree, at what will be top tier, that either means main tree or subtree, and the subtree you want is one that fixes your ground problems, maybe Singapore does that, but I’m guessing you don’t just want a Leopard 2?

Could still come to main tree as gap filler/sidegrade same update as upgraded F-15E, maybe foldered under it?

The SG being operated by an air force squadron makes a subtree unnecessary though

For ground, fixing the various bugs and issues with the abrams would probably be enough. And no, I don’t want a Leopard 2 in the US

That doesn’t seem likely, even if they do that it will be in separate updates

And you’ve complained about the lack of variety before now

then Singapore is not the subtree for you
