Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

yeah slightly, but not so much that the KE-W in game could be the KE-W A2

Oh yeah, of course.

But it’s a step below equivalent

619mm vs 629mm would basically be equivalent. That 10mm difference is insignificant.

Basically, KE-W A2 is slightly worse than M829A2 to the same degree that KE-W is slightly worse than M829A1.

That’s why I can’t wrap my head around M1A1 AIM “needing” to be castrated by being limited to KE-W instead of getting its historical KE-W A2, while M1A1 HC and M1A2 sit at the exact same BR with M829A2, which is better than KE-W A2…

Another FAILURE of blind statistic-based balancing. Either that, or Gaijin just doesn’t want to “waste” time modelling a new shell.

If they added the better post pen of DU rounds the 829A2 would be noticeably better than the KEW-A2

Yeah, Britain has enough options for more Hunters, Singapore could make a Japanese subtree eventually, though there are lots of other options for Japan, I could very well see a Singaporean Hunter going to either Japan or Britain

Yeah, the M1A1 AIM is at the same BR as the M1A2 but with worse penetration than the basic M1A1

It wouldn’t be the end of the world if it went to Britain, it’d finally give me a an excuse to buy the MiG-21 Bison

Justification used to be better thermals but now, unless they move it down to 11.3, it should get KEW-A2

Saying that, if it went to Britain, it would likely be as a premium tab vehicle.

Yeah, perhaps, would be frustrating though if it was another British made aircraft not going to the manufactoring nation because of that reason though. Dont mind if Singapore was the sub-TT of Japan, but if it isnt, then its a tad annoying. Whilst yes Britain could also get the Omani one, we’ve been waiting for either since the Hunter F58 was added and still nothing. Same with the Hawk, could have come 2+ years ago.

Even better! Than I could buy it and be done with!

As long as it not a event/BP vehicle it’s good.

As if Singapore gets a home after it can join then as a prem, but not as a reward vehicle(of any type).

It’s just like US manufactured aircraft going into other trees, like so long as Switzerland becomes a subtree like we all expect then the Hunter there makes sense, same with Singapore and Japan, the issue is if they don’t become subtrees then it just seems mean not to put them in the British tree

Yep, exactly. Feels like at times, there is one rule for 9/10 nations and another for Britain

Looking through manufacturers on the wiki, it doesn’t seem like British manufacturers get particularly poor treatment, the only real example is the Swiss Hunter, and like I said, we all expect Switzerland to become a German Subtree.

The only thing I will say is that I do find this funny

Compare Norinco to any US manufacturer lol

Norinco doesn’t export to any of the nations in war thunder, all US manufacturers do

Wait- the UK has no BAE built vehicle? Despite having stuff from them yikes.

What makes it sader is that it’s not the only one like that.

Ex: Canadair | Manufacturers | War Thunder Wiki

Canadair had primarily built military vehicles/aircraft for Canada up to it later years of it life, yet we don’t have any Canadian ones(and a few others like the UK should have some of it operated Sabers and the Dutch F-5 that was on leak list would be found there(the NF-5 is a further modification to the already modified CF-116)).

Unfortunately, the British CL-13 basically got ruled out because there “isn’t room” for it, even though you could just folder the Swifts and/or Venom + Vampire and create room.

Still holding out hope that they figure out how to do more than 5 lines in a tree and we can get a true Canadian/Australian line to the TT eventually
