Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Type 85 iim is only used by sudan though it is a chinese export Type 80/88 (some form of t-54/55/62 thing), can’t find anything about some Type 85 2 Storm existing through a 10 second search.

Hi, Smin, Can you explain why we can’t receive the BR change rapidly? last year we just got 3-4 times BR change plan, which is even less than the major update. Can we expect more such balance adjustments this year?

Even though the Forum has already complained some vehicles have suffered for over 1 year (like M26/T25), the developer still believes these vehicles are efficient, this seems to conflict with the player, Due to the opacity of the data, it is hard for players to be convinced that the developers are right, especially with previous cases(Italian Sabre). Now 6.7-9.0 are still be over-compressed, can we expect that to slow down in the next correction?

Forwarded for the devs to review thank you.

Also last year one of BR changes was at middle of January.

Hello

More frequent BR changes often means certain brackets would never properly settle down as the data would constantly vary. Currently BR changes are scheduled at intervals that allow for an accurate amount of useful data to be collected and reviewed, whilst allowing newer vehicles to settle down in their bracket before constant changes.

The goal is for vehicles to find their correct place, not keep changing back and forth.

But some vehicles can be balanced more objectively, for example the J-11A is an objectively worse Su-27SM at the same BR, with the only redeeming quality being MAWS. So it should be obvious that it should go down or the Su-27SM should go up.

The question is, is it that much worse that it deserves to go down to 13.3, because the SU-27SM definitely isn’t 14.0 material?

The issue is decompression in this case, as I don’t think the J-11A is bad enough to be 13.3 which means both it and the SU-27SM are at the same BR, just one is at the very bottom of that BR and the other is mid way up

Yes, decompression is the answer. Until than it really should be 13.3 seeing as the Su-34 is 13.3.

The J-11A 100% is bad enough to go to 13.3
Only difference between it and the J-11 is R-77 and a useless MAWS system.
It can only carry 6x R-77s because it doesn’t get the two extra pylons the Su-27SM has.
It is heavier than the Su-27SM and it doesn’t get the upgraded engines, so it has worse flight performance.
It gets the horrible RWR and the same N001 as the J-11.

The JF-17 is 13.3 with better flight performance and albeit, it can only carry 4x PL-12s, but PL-12s are much better than R-77s anyway.

Basically a ZTZ88C, aka ZTZ88 but ZTZ96 turret.

Pakistan uses Type 85 IIAP which is same as IIM

Also the data link, 1, sucks with 0 BVR capability.

At present, Su-27SM no R-73M

J-11A stay 13.7 or decreased to 13.3 ?

J-11A become 13.3 with F/A-18C in next update?

We need J-11B

I would rather see a decrease to 13.3 before there is more decompression.

J-11B counterpart to AN/APG-63v3 equipped F-15C, may come 2nd major of the year

It definitely is.
Su-27SM should be the same BR as the F-15s, Rafale, and Typhoons as it’s an equivalent to those aircraft.
But don’t tell Su-27 mains that cause they like being slightly OP.

J-11B early batch uses a pulse-doppler radar, it is comparable to current MSIP II if anything in terms of performance.

J-11BG is the late variant with an AESA radar.
