Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

nah theres a fair amount of cool indian vehicles, but they shoudlve gone to most relevant tree instead of just one

True, but if we look at battleships that are projects, the standards seem to change. The Italians have Caracciolo and Conte di Cavour because they don’t have many options there. And the USSR has Kronshtadt (and the reparations ships) because they don’t have many options.

I think the main other reason Gaijin adds project vessels is if they believe it will bring interesting new gameplay options to a tech tree, which I’m personally all right with. I’m generally in favor of prototypes anyway though so that’s just my preference. My point though, was that I don’t think Gaijin is going to go out of their way to add the 1920s US projects when there are so many ships that made it to service to add-- at least, I don’t think that would be the priority. I could be wrong though.

Normandie will be 7.0 at maximum, that’s why I left it off.

Right, I’m not saying Gaijin will add every ship I listed, just that they have those options to pick from/ options for which to turn into premiums.

People say it should be added as a nation but aren’t people already moaning about C&P

they just keep making the game worse, china already has domestic additions that will fill same role

Yea … my bet its likely the Swiss for Germania, official Romania for Italy and least likely: the Korean split solution.
And maybe the official announcement of Pakistan being the sub of China.

Obviously … and anything western needed, RoC/Taiwan is already offering

yeah itd be mostly copy paste. shouldve been sukhois and Migs going to russia, rafale to france, t90 to russia, f-21 to USA, and anything domestic to whatever it was derived from/took “inspiration” from

Romania is already a sub which oddly make it the first sub nation lol.

But yea the Swiss and China are my bet’s too, for the Swiss I hope they gonna rework it but doubt it

Yes, sub-trees as they are right now aren’t the best and need a rework, but being split between trees is an even worse fate.

It’s better to have none of your stuff in game, than be ripped across more than one TT.

Like if I recall correctly, with how addition can currently be top to three fates for a nation went like this(and in the order):

Independent tech-tree
Not in-game
Sub-tree

(note if some changes are made to things like sub-tree, this order could change and a respective of right this second)

Problem with this is that it leads to poor variation and awkward matchmaking.

Dunno if the ASEAN → China thingy will be tackled proper by Gaijin, next year but an official announcement for Pakistan → China is likely, same goes for officiating Romania → Italy.
I have a hunch, we might see a conglomerate nation addition. Not subtree but a separate Nation.
Strongly think that’d be Visegrád minus Hungary. I.e to include Polish, Czechs and Ukr substituting Huns. The 2nd option being Yugoslavia.
And the third could be ASEAN or maybe not. Hence at third.

idk we just have to see what they have in store, with the Benelux now getting more ground. The tab idea just seems more appealing.

Also I think after Swiss … Gaijin might choose Turkey as the 2nd subtree for Germany. But its a big If from my side. But is based on the historic ties between the empires and then the nations.

The issue is, it’s even worse to see your SPAA that you’re the only nation to ever use fight your MBT.

Or have your MBT and aircraft fight each other.

Matchmaking does not stop the fact that being ripped across nations is the worst fate a nation could have, and just not having any vehicles flying that nation’s flag be in the game would be 10x better.

It seems appealing?

It’s literally the only way to fix the sub-tree problems.

The lack of space, the domestic stuff all being events, vehicles skipped over as sub-nations are an afterthought because they aren’t added for the nation that was made a sub-tree, etc.

As far as representation goes in War Thunder, to be clear.

Ask someone who wants to play Canada if they like their vehicles being spread across UK, US, and Germany.

Thank God, Gaijin didn’t consider any subtree for Ru. Space is non-existent there.
(given current developments … NK does make sence there tho, ngl)

Was waiting for Tropical Leclerc … got Dutch copy-paste Leopard 2s.

Really depends on interpretation.

It’s not an Indian vehicle if they don’t adopt it, but it’s also not an American vehicle if the US don’t adopt it. Sure, it’s made by a US company, so it is “American” in the sense that it originates from that country, but it is also specifically for India, so naturally it should go to India.

The easiest option tbh is just to give both, considering only giving it to one will cause controversy that Gaijin can avoid easily like this (and has done in the past).

Personally, could add new F-16 (engine & airframe from Block 50 or Block 52) with AN/APG-83 SABR AESA radar to late rank 9 after F-16C, but before F-35A Early (Block 3i or Block 3F standard)

But I don’t know gajin called F-16C PoBiT or F-16CM

Battle rating 15.0 minimum, my guess

To replace AIM-9L for F-16C Block 50 after decompression battle rating to 14.3 or 14.7 ?

I’m not sure about this.

AIM-120A replace with AIM-120C-3 & AIM-120C-5 for USAF F-16C Block 50

For F-15C MSIP II and F-15E, get AIM-120C-3 & AIM-120C-5 after increased max BR to 14.3

To replace AIM-9M on F-16C Block 50, F-15E received AIM-9M-9

And AIM-9M replace with AIM-9M-9 on domestic thailand 2 Multirole Fighter Aircraft (F-16A OCU & Gripen C)
