what good is a longer ranged radar missile against an aircraft I can’t lock anyway, the F-22 would still outrange, we need better IR missiles more than better ARH ones, so if you’re ok with 9X/ASRAAM/IRIS-T armed Typhoons against 9M armed F-22s then thats fine but we need better IR missiles first, then the C-5 vs C-1 would be fine
Like I said, the ideal is ASRAAM/IRIS-T/Meteor Typhoon, vs 120C-5/9X F-22, then we’re equal in close range and even then, you outrange us, but at least we’re better against other things at longer ranges
If they add IRST cueing then C-1 v C-5, both 9M will be fine. And if eft gets asraam, F-22 should get 9X since it’s worse apparently
Not even then, cause we know the ARH missiles are limited to 16km seeker turn on, but maybe that will be lifted with AMRAAM-C. As a result F22 will be even harder to kill if high as it can dump and run. We will need equal fire off range first for similar BR aircrafts, so F22 only has big advantage in down tier.
yeah, I do want IRST ARH launces, they’ve put the feature on the shelf for now, like they’ve said they’re aware of it and they just don’t want to add it yet

the 16km limit should be gone by the time we get the really long-range ARH missiles, or at least you’d like to think

Like I said, I have nothing against its eventual addition, just not within the next year and a half at least
honestly, f22 should not come at all for now as no weapon nor means of detecting it like irst are either in game or well modelled, from my understanding both eurofighter and rafale irst are made to detect such aircraft and i don’t think the point was to detect them at max 20km like in war thunder, first eurofighter and rafale need to be fixed after we can talk about adding plane with that level of stealth.

Then you should be fine with F-15C getting APG-63v3 and BOL to better compete with EFT for the time being?
Presumably that’s with AESA, so we’d need a Typhoon with Captor E before we can get that good
Yeah, I would suggest that a better version of the F-15C is fair, did it ever get upgraded engines the C or were they just for the E and EX?

Idk albeit all 3rd party sources I have seen most estimates for modern high power radars put anywhere from 20km to 36kms till detected.
Damn, maybe an F-15EX then, IDK how much better that is though, I suspect it might be a bit too good with a minimum of 12 AMRAAMs for right now

The F-15SA would be much better for adding soon, has 63v3 instead of newer 82v1 on EX, and only 120C/B. Also has a MAWS which is pretty neat, slightly better RWR too
I don’t know their exact rcs estimates used. But come a certain distance and a not long one with how small ARB maps are it will be detected.
But to move back to topic I think gaijin might add the 22 this year. But it is a slim chance. It definitely not coming next update.
