On the one hand, I understand what you mean;
On the other hand, the issue is that some countries have incredibly well developed MBT lineups, specially since Rank VIII was introduced, while others fell behind by a significant margin.
Not only when it comes to new additions, but also when it comes to bug reports that have been “accepted/acknowledged” for months and even years when it comes to already ingame MBTs. The fact that many of these have been “acknowledged” for years with nothing done to correct them and improve the vehicles makes it indeed feel like they’ve been abandoned.
For example, Type 10’s broken steering, which has been a thing since the tank was first introduced to the game, Challenger 2’s missing LFP spall liners and ammorack issues (first order ammorack size and replenishment speed), the Chinese MBTs missing their spall liners, all of SEPv2’s issues including, for example, the non-removable TUSK package which was also acknowledged back on the Dev Server, M1A1 AIM arbitrarily having a worse and unhistorical shell choice than M1A2 and M1A1HC while being at the same BR for no particular reason at all, the whole matter with the Abrams tanks’ turret rings, and many, many, many other concerns regarding the majority of the MBTs, such as the Merkava Mk.4s and their armor, the mobility of the Type 10s and Leclercs, etc.
Then I can’t help but to wonder- for this entire year, the Leopard 2A7s and Strv 122s have been nearly uncontested in terms of capabilities, maybe only Russia is on par due to sheer number of well armored MBTs, but not without issues. I think many of us have been waiting for counterparts to these for a very long time, yet in vain so far.
EDIT: I forgot to add that the reason why people didn’t want more Challenger 2s is that they are utterly broken and remain forever unfixed; so people have naturally lost interest in them… because, if they keep coming broken, they may as well stop coming, yeah. But the issue isn’t necessarily the amount of Challengers; rather, the fact that each of them comes with the same issues unaddressed.
