KAAN has no business being in the US tree when it was explicitly developed because the US threw them out of F-35. and thats not even considering that BAE is the prime contractor after TAI (and did most of the airframe development and optimisation).

I believe that a fifth-generation aircraft should look as smooth as possible, solid and without protruding parts. The F-22 is the gold standard in this regard, the rest are trying to portray something of their own, some are better, some are worse. The YF-23 is super ugly, I don’t like it at all.

But the F-35, by the way, is very fat and ugly. And it seems to me that the plane is mostly garbage.

yeah F-22 is the best airshow 5th gen imho, great looking jet and insane flight performance
it wouldve been super cool to see the YF-23 fly though

I think the United States would not sell a very good aircraft in such quantities, just like the F-22 or China’s J-20. And the buyer countries take it out of desperation. There are no other options, and it’s expensive to develop your own.
I’m not a huge fan of the F-35 overall, but it looks good enough and i respect its capabilities its much better looking than a lot of the aircraft the British have operated, personally, I actually am very fond of the J-35 and FC-31.
I do not like the J-20 though, nor do i particularly like the look of KAAN.
My favourite 5th gen or faux 5th gen that flies is the KAI KF-21.
And the one that doesn’t fly/wasn’t finished was the BAE P.125
From my testing no, although I wouldn’t deny the capability. The Chinese are very creative.
