Yeah, it would be insane for someone else to get it before the US, but it’s a similar situation to the German MiG-29, there was a lot of backlash for not adding it at the same time as the Russian one, and I don’t see them trying that road again
you should be happy about that too as like with the F-15E because of the F-15I they had to give you the better engines, the same is true with the F/A-18C, if Finland gets it, it will have to be with the better engines, which means that’s what the US will get too
YPR-765-PRAT is doable but it would be at a BR where previously no BP vehicle was.

The more awful option would be for gaijin to add it the way they did the AV8B or pull a gripen C move where they tease the C but then try to give the home nation the worst version because they didn’t add the older model sooner. Both options are something im against.
Doesn’t really matter depending on the model finland will have the worst F18 next to the swiss. No CAS which means no BOL or the new radar that the MLU 2 added.
Oh okay, but is it a copy of an American tank or a tank that is copied from another tree that resides in the US? Like, is this a captured king tiger or?
That remains to be revealed by Gszabi I suppose, but for now I think that either of those guesses could be plausible.
Although, I sincerely hope that the U.S. will not receive captured German tanks such as the Kingtiger anytime soon.
I could see them doing it again. It’s an iconic fighter for the US like the Mig-29 is for Russia. In regards to the F-15E and I, the F-15 was already in the game. The F/A-18 isn’t. Its an “adding another variant” vs. “Introducing a brand new airframe iconic to the country of origin”.
So launch the F/A-18 to the US first, then in the next update or two, add it to Finland and Germany and whoever else had one.
They can add CAS to the Finnish F/A-18, Finland redesignated in 2012-16 after MLU-2 added ground attack capability, they will at the very least get MLU 1 for JHMCS but more likely they just get 2 as Sweden need ground attack capability and they have been trying to spread some of that around recently
Absolute horrible take, they didn’t deny F15 to Isreal no reason to deny the only vehicle that warrants Finland even being added in its horrible state.

I would say it is an American design that is exported. I do have no idea where it would go, or it is meant to be American and the bomber isnt. The only options I can think at this BR is a pershing, which the UK and Soviets got their hand on. M46 was also exported to France and Italy. M47 has been sold to Taiwan along with previously mentioned clients. I would not however place my bet on a British pershing.

Everyone got the F-15 at the same time, everyone got the F-16 at the same time, everyone got the SU-27 at the same time, everyone should have got the MiG-29 at the same time, chances are everyone will get the F/A-18 at the same time too
My point about engines is that the Finnish one will have the improved engines which means they can’t reasonably give the US version the older engines

Not going to say its a great take. And you are more than welcome to disagree. But after the last update, and the mindset shown towards US mains, its very “ehh” at this point. US mains werent against EU mains having their moment in the sun but it is whay it is at this point.
They can, they just nerf the finnish version so its worse than the US which then means Gripen is still a better option which then makes the F18 pointless
Even though the finnish version should weigh a slight but less due to the avionics for CAS being ripped out.
These are quite possible if the tank ends up as the top reward, but the potential range is still a bit too big for definites. Hopefully we will get some further clarification from Gszabi tomorrow.
It’s also interesting how the leak mentions a specific plane reward, despite aircraft being up next for the reward crate. So maybe we will have another naval or ground crate again this time.
They didn’t do that with the F-15I, they just relented and gave the US version the better engines.
and as I keep saying, if they just give MLU 2 then Finland will get CAS so it will weigh the same
I would say naval crate, would be too out of the box if gaijin gives naval enough attention.

not unfortunate, fortunate in fact, Finland getting the F/A-18 has no effect on you, aside from giving you better engines (positive), whereas denying them the F/A-18 still has no effect on you but now Sweden suffers for no reason, and you probably get worse engines (negative)
