That feels really late.

Update, most likely will come in the week 16th-20th, so a teaser > dev stream > dev server right on the weekend before that feels like cutting it close.

At the very least, give NATO aircraft their HARMs. Something that means keeping your radar on makes you a bright target. Or just remove it all together and we can bring it back once everyone else has something.

We really need to escape this mental arms race against Pantsir.

People asking for HARMS to counter Pantsir, people asking for full capability Brimstones to counter pantsir… People asking for ‘x’, ‘y’ and ‘z’ to counter Pantsir.

All it’s doing is making the 9/10 countries who don’t have a Pantsir, fall even further behind in their ability to defend themselves from above.

I mean it is possible. Everything has kind of been delayed lately.

With the SR and MR, it’s hardly an issue (I mean the Derby has less range than its seeker lock on range with the SR lol). Also pretty sure that it’s can get some sort of directional guidance when it comes to using its optics, or at least a small bit of assistance in pointing the seeker. I suggest you read the Singaporean SPYDER-SR suggestion.

What really baffles me is how there hasn’t been a single dev post on the issue of the Pantsir. It is one of the most discussed vehicles on this forum, for a pretty sizeable portion of players. Sure, not everyone, but a respectable and noticeable amount. Enough to warrant something from the developers. Like they did with the Abrams armor and Igla missile issues.

So either the community managers aren’t passing such contention along or balance really isn’t all that much of a priority.

Then we agree, get rid of the Pantsir.

Or add comparable SPAA to other trees.

Gaijin would want the update to come out before Christmas

I don’t think Pantsir is OP.

I think everything everyone else has is UP.

Pandora’s box has already been opened. The solution isn’t removing Pantsir, it’s adding equivalents to others ASAP.

Agreed. I do not think they would ever remove it.

Im operating off of the fact that Gaijin themselves had said before. That there isnt much else for other nations. If that is truely the case; then you either need to buff existing SPAAs to perhaps a fictional level than what they are capable of, or you remove the one trouble vehicle causing the issue in the first place. It should have never been added in the first place and its acceptable to own up to that and remove it.

respectfully your vendetta against this vehicle is both unwarranted and full of just blatantly incorrect information.

The Pantsir is not a “problem vehicle” in fact it was 100% warranted and justified due to the state of top tier CAS. The “PROBLEM VEHICLES” are those top tier jets that warrant this level of AA power. People want equivalents to the pantsir because they don’t want to be behind, but that’s not the Pantsir’s fault. If the Pantsir wasn’t in the game and Russia was stuck with the Tunguska, the same problem would exist only difference is your scapegoat (the pantsir) wouldn’t be around to point the finger at.

The problem is the jets, you’re just trying to make it seem like the pantsir is the problem when it’s not.

You are right. It should not have.

Russia should have just been given Tor at the same time as China, and this whole CAS arms race would have never happened. Pantsir was completely and totally unjustifiable when Tor model literally existed.

But that’s not what they did. They added Pantsir. They broke the balance of CAS vs SPAA. They fueled a CAS arms race. They justified the addition of increasingly crazy CAS, and now we find ourselves where Pantsir is not OP - it’s the bare minimum required to counter the threats that Pantsir itself justified adding.

As i said, Pandoras box is opened. We can’t go back. We can’t remove Pantsir and pretend nothing happened. The damage is done. Counterparts is the only solution. Those counterparts do exist, and every update the snail fails to add them (For a year and counting) is just pouring fuel on this fire.

You make it sound like the Pantsir being added triggered this issue when it’s existed since before the Pantsir?

the Harrier GR7 already meme’d on top tier SPAA since before the Pantsir and the Mig-27K was doing it LONG BEFORE that. Once again, stop using the pantsir like a scapegoat.

The pantsir is a problem vehicle in the sense that only 1 nation has it/a counterpart, which in itself creates a balance issue.

All of the craziest, current top tier CAS is post-pantsir.

Yes, GR7 & Mig27K were strong, but F16C / F15E / SU-34 are absolutely leagues ahead of them.
