the only reason they have a bad FM is because the meta back then was the R27ER and no missile in the game came close to it for over 3 years… so as a shitty fix they nerfed the FM of both. the MIG 29 started out as a really good dogfighter against the f16A when it came out but now is super sad!
if they would redo the FM’s of the mig29 and su27 and made them how the mig29 was on release it would be quite even. so blame gajijn for adding the ER and making it unbalanced against NATO instead of just keeping with the R which is pretty close to the sparrow
(my winrate with the pansir is 80% XDXDXDXDXD in sim tho but still no one should have a winrate of 80%)
Would it makes sense for GRB airfields to have Missile SPAA’s, and additionally RADAR sites, that could be linked to SPAA without onboard radar like the Spyder?
And currently in top tier grb, the airfields still use ww2 flak cannons
I’m not complaining, I’m making the argument that there is no Russian bias, also the SU-27 FM is bad for meta because of the high AOA that the aircraft is famous for and the SMT is bad because it’s fat, which is accurate to real life
and the reason the r73 is somewhat lacking is because gajijn wanted to add them to the mig29 and that was super stupid. because the f16 only had the 9L and no irccm (and the magic 2 was super nerfed back then)

I’m confused, do you think the 9M shouldn’t have been introduced in the same patch, I’m pretty sure it was always planned anyways, it was just delayed till the 2nd dev server but that happens to a lot of additions
As we have already said, you should absolutely not expect to see a missile like this as an air-to-air weapon anytime soon at all in game. It’s capabilities far exceed anything in game currently.
