More accurate to say, Gaijin’s plans are not set in stone months in advance and they’re pretty flexible to adjust their priorities.
Yeah given that they removed the F-104S TAF I am thinking we could see something like the MiG-21LanceR from Romania in that same BR range… unless they have something else planned.
Israel could possibly get Kfir 2000? Idk what they have for options other than that.
I was thinking Spanish EAV-8B+
Adds both a premium Fox-3 and a premium CAS
Nah, I don’t see them adding a Spanish Harrier to Italy out of nowhere.
The VRCC may be operated by Spain, but it is still an Italian vehicle.
That could work.
Also wonder if china will get something new for a prem since according to the leak they are getting J-11B and J-10B and the J-7D went down in BR so maybe gaijin is thinking of doing something there.
We’re in a festive mood :p
Yes, ofc the version matters. Version of AIM-120 from AAM-4 time is as good as if not better than it
according to smin, plans are set in stone months in advance, so it’s more like something is wrong so it can’t come in time, or something else influenced the plan so it need to be delaied.
A premium JH-7 feels like a pretty good contestant to me, based on how much Gaijin loves their Strike Premiums
except wierdly for Britain, a nation that specialised in ground attack for years :D
Whole ASEAN is simply not fit as a subtree.
The entirety of the 10 ASEAN nations is too much to be fairly represented in any tree, including the still rather empty Japanese tree, and there is a very stark contrast between countries using mainly western equipment, and those using mainly eastern equipment.
I think it is best for ASEAN nations to be split into smaller groups of
- Predominately western founding nations (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand)
- Predominately eastern and China friendly nations (Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar)
- Vietnam (eastern, but not China aligned)
- Brunei (western but not founding member)
Though in an ASEAN tree there is still an argument to be made for them to be together, as for a standalone tree to work all of these nations need to be present.
I think you meant development is started months in advance not the actual plans. Those can change.
On our local exchange site, many people do not reject the “Chinese leopard”, and can even say that they see it as a “last resort” (referring to the case when gaijin refuses to fix 99A and VT4). Of course, I also understand that many people reject the idea of “Chinese leopard”, and you can refute me as much as you like, as long as it is not abusive, ridiculed or provocative.
I mean, if Italy can have the entirety of minor Axis nation I don’t see why they wouldn’t make that same mistake again and give Japan the entirety of ASEAN
I mean sure. But its still weird to see an update where there isnt a US aircraft. And I personally do not know what all is left for the US ground tree besides a SEP. V3, a few more LAV and Stryker variants. I think theres a few more SPAA options on the table too but I can’t imagine there’s much left without digging into classified terrority.
So, man, where should the Malaysian SU-30MKM go?
Perhaps because the whole of ASEAN has much more vehicles than Japan, so that “Japan” can be renamed “Pan-Asia”.
I would hope because they can still find a “Theme” for the subtree by deciding to stick to founding nations, which is conveniently only the mainly western half of ASEAN nations and Japan did establish diplomatic relations with before other nations joined.
Where should the Malaysian F-18 go?
