I think the “reliable” leak list for this update was just focusing on the “new” stuff. F-18 is almost a given at this point and if its something else, I will be very surprised. Of course the US will get something, probably 2 somethings this update, but wont necessarily be a massive jump up over what they’ve had previously. Thus F-18C would be the best bet.

I could see a premium F-18A since (to my understanding) it didn’t have Fox 3s or perhaps a premium F-14D that supposed tested them? And the F/A-18C for the tech tree. That’s my guess.
To be completely honest, any F/A-18 before the Super Hornet would be kinda pointless now, since the F-15E just does the Hornets jobs better.

But I dont think US will get a premium aircraft this update. My bet is on Italy and Israel getting new rank 8 premium aircraft.
Its a side-grade rather than an upgrade, lower performance as a BVR truck, but with 10x AMRAAM.

From what I read the 18E wouldn’t fit the meta any better than the 18C though. Yes it got more powerful engines, but it also got a lot heavier.

Indian vehicles would best fit in an Indian tech tree, but yeah, if they can’t have their own tree then Gaijin should definitely limit the vehicles they add to this accursed subtree to only actual indian stuff and stuff imported from Europe
The “long term” leak list that talked about tech trees and the F-117 also said that the Eurofighter was delayed until 2025, but now it seems to be coming in the December update according to the same source.
Yeah, it’s a mostly reliable source, but it seems like even their information is not always accurate.
While I hope we do see the F-14D I hope to god it is added as a TT vehicle and not a premium. We already have the best US F-4 Phantom locked away as a premium the F-14D shouldn’t suffer the same fate.
As the Fox 3 Premium for the US I could see either an F/A-18A+ or the F-14B(U) (wouldn’t get AMRAAM’s but still have AIM-54’s), maybe have AMRAAM’s added to the F-20 but I’m not too sure. If they want to add an F-14 premium then the F-14A with AMRAAM’s might be an option since they were actually tested on an F-14A.
