If they do add all of ASEAN there that is a legitimate concern. I doubt it would be renamed in the Japanese DMM client, but internationally this might be possible.

development can only be started when it’s planned, isnt it? Gaijin planned the next 2-3 update’s main theme and start the development, but the final decision may change. like you planned to buy some beef in supermarket but end buy some chicken.
make it a last resort don’t mean it’s right, same for others wanting ridiculous things.
or by a easier way, from gaijin’s side, ignore the groups, just touch some really necessary and least controversial vehicles, say nothing

Personally, I’m praying for a WW1 update at some point. As a mostly sim battle player; the idea of taking off from a prestine French countryside, flying over rolling hills that steadily turn into a hellscape of muck and mire, zig-zagging trenches, shell craters, chaotic machine gun fire, and massive zeppelins staged throughout the map and battlefield…ugh. Yes please. Let me take up my SPAD S.VII against some Fokker Dr.Is.

As a founding ASEAN nation it would end up as part of that subtree for Japan.
However I think it is worth pointing out it is one of only 3 “eastern” vehicles Malaysia operates and fitted with many western avionics and weapons too. The other vehicles are their MiG-29N that is able to carry AIM-9L/M sidewinder missiles and the PT-91M, a polish post-soviet design modified specifically for Malaysian needs.
These are the exception though, not the rule for Malaysia. They mostly operate western equipment such as Hawk 108/208, F/A-18D and soon FA-50M
I am not completely against some east/west vehicles mixed into mostly other trees. For example Bangladeshi Rafale, Pakistani F-16V or ROC M1A2T can appear in the Chinese tree as well.

To be fair, not every vehicle from the list comes in every update. Just like the Swiss 18C.
I personally think that the EFT will likely come this update, but it’s still important to have a slightly open mind for both lists.

There’s a few variant’s with LRFs that can make it into other trees too.
I’m thinking it’ll do well at around 8.3 with all the leopards there. Though BR wise it should probably be 4.3-5.3, 82mm of pen with HESH won’t be the most amazing thing in the world.
