Which fighter jets, leaving aside Eurofighter, could, for example, U.K get? Or Germany? Etc.
They are getting Eurofighter now that the time is ripe; but what could they possibly have been getting this whole time people were raging at U.S for getting multiple F-14/15/16s while U.K and Germany weren’t getting more than they did?
Even for the soviets the archangelsk is hardly something better. Novossyrisk features Italian 320mm with good pen and ballistics, kronstadt is weak on guns but balances its mobility and armor well. It is about the action itself rather than the ships capabilities. Royal soverign or any R class wouldve been helpful but they are nowhere to be seen.
Its more quantity than quality, though do you remember how broken Kronstadat was for years?
UK just got its third Rnak VI ship, Soviets are probably going to get their 5th this update. Kinda insane to me that the UK doesnt have at least as many if not more (though really no excuse for them to not be near equal in count)

Lack of any additions push people always from those nations leaving only the most dedicated and in turn skilled people playing.
This leaves vehicle equal/counterparts of eachother nearly a full BR apart or more. So even at the smallest case the “major nation” vehicle would be at 3.7 well the “minor nation” would be 4.7.

Eh even if a nation doesnt get vehicles ill play it because i enjoy the linup or the style of tanks. 7.7 Japan is great, sure im not earning any effective research for the TKX 12.0 meh, or 7.7 or 6.7 france, they are fun vehicles and ill play them, only time i swap nations is if they have something that i think would be fun to play. Luchs for example is a cool vehicle but is very large and has a awful gun. So no real reason for me to soade it until i feel the need to continue my goal to spade every vehicle in warthunder. If gaijin wants me to play Isreal or China i need something unique that is fun.
This is a timeline where jutlant was fought between the red navy and hoschesfleet. Someone commented that even in kaiserreich universe(you know where the entente lose and the HMS gets split up between RCN and socialist UK) the Brits can get better things on the table.
Now the game heads from interwar to WW2 proper, and Britain is going to lose the title of the best fleet in the world forever. In the game there was not a patch that ever represents the royal navy and in the future will realistically never at all. That is it.

Do i agree minor nations should get more vehicles yes. But as you said before Gaijin is a business and looks to make money. Look how many of the vehicles people are complaining about the US receiving are not TT.

Realistically Sweden could be a thing, not great but has some flavors.

Example 1: Hungarian Sub-tree
A lot of aircraft were added to Italy. JAS-39, MiG-29, MiG-23, MiG-21 and etc. Is the MiG-29 unique? No, it is an exact copy of others, with no changes. Is it useful for Italy? No, because Italy already has other good jets at the same BR. For this reason, I didnt consider it being useful or unique and didnt include it in the final column. However, the JAS-39 is very useful for Italy because, without it Italy would currently lack a top tier jet, despite it being an exact copy of other JAS-39Cs
Example 2: BeNeLux Sub-tree
The F-16AM is a top-tier aircraft. It is not unique but still adds variety to the French top tier lineup. Without it France would have only one aircraft at 13.7. The F-16A is a copy of others, but with one key difference, it has AIM-9Ms and offers distinct gameplay and a different BR compared to other F-16As

All this equipment has some uniqueness or usefulness, unlike the examples mentioned earlier (e.g., MiG-29 HU, MiG-21MF HU, F-104G, Tornado IDS, premium Su-22M4 and so on)
I dont mean that other vehicles should have been added or anything like that. I just counted how much good vehicles were added this year to show the difference between the USA and other nations

Casuals see one nation getting more, so they’ll play that nation dropping the player count the other nations. This in turn feeds the loops, as Gaijin won’t make stuff for the nation losing all its players to the nation getting stuff.

Casuals need more low tier stuff that epnt take hours to get withour premium that can give them a fun experience to make them interested in grinding the tree.
Half the issue IMO is BR compression, made worse Gaijin’s approach to drip feeding new tech in (usually to the US or USSR trees first) leaves players of other nations at a large disadvantage (See F-14 and R-73 for example), feels pretty awful to play against F-14s with Skyflashes or Aim-7Es leads players begging for a counter, then the US/Russia gets new shiny instead. Cue raging. + A fair number of additions to minor nations come a day late and modelled pretty poorly imo, the amount of minor nation jets with bodged or incorrect huds is pretty depressing for example.
On what the UK could have gotten? Gestures vaguely to SAAF generally speaking the SAAF had a fairly different airforce doctrine compared to the RAF, which provides options outside of the normal RAF missile bus interceptor or sub sonic ground strike. Wouldn’t be massively meta defining additions like the gripen was, but would comfortably add more competitive options in the WT meta.
