God, people that think like that gotta be the most obnoxious fools out there. SAMs and SPAAs exist for one reason: TO COUNTER CAS.
We went from “just spawn SPAA” to “just spawn a top tier fighter jet” effectively turning GRB into ARB with extra steps. I swear, if there weren’t so many premium players that only have tanks the matches would literally turn into air battles after 5 minutes.

Tbf even with better SPAA. If maps are designed right. An CAP aircraft will still be better.
i mean it kinda should be considering how much more SP it costs to spawn one in vs spawning SPAA

CAP can be better for all I care, as long as SPAA actually is able to defend the team from airborne threats

This it cost like nothing to spawn an spaa twice but to spawn my F-16C is 900+
This is generally what happens?.. Tank dies to plane and either spawns plane or spaa
yknow if they implemented datalink (US stuff would get it earlier on but basically everyone would have it at top tier) there could be a new use for CAP aircraft
Your not going to be able to defend from all threats with SPAA. If a bomb is droped from orbit most SPAA will not detect it. But the need for more equivalent SPAA is obvious. Too many times I have been watching aircraft thinking. “If i was just in my pantsir you would be dead.”
I mean, yeah, there always will be some threats that get through, but we shouldn’t be in this situation where most SPAA in top tier GRB is effectively useless.

I agree. That being said temper your expectations. Even if Gaijin add the SL-AMRAAM for example the munitions it carries probably won’t be able to intercept incoming munitions and if able definitely not effectively.
Yeah Germany can get those after the 6-7 other nations have actually gotten their first 122 counterpart before them.

Well, I am not expecting a Humvee with only SAMs to be able to destroy a wave of AGMs and/or guided bombs, that’s what CIWS would be for.
We do however need SAMs that can actually pose a threat toward CAS planes even at long ranges.

Japan could easily be brought up the same level if they just fixed the Type 10. It doesn’t have to be a 1-1 counterpart, as long as it’s asymtrically equal.
And for everything else. I’m sure they can squeeze out some random prototype.
It’s funny how imbalance is a problem when it affects certain nations negatively (no EF2000 yet), but far less so when it affects said nation positively (2A7V). Curious huh?
