The question is why would it?
It would already feature more missiles than the current aircraft, with 10 AMRAAM alongside 2 AIM-9s, I don’t really think that is the aircraft that needs to introduce IIR missiles to perform.
They’d combine the TVC agility of the R-73 if not more with IRCCM that would be superior to anything currently in game, that seems like one hell of an advantage for a plane that also carries the most BVR missiles in game.

R73M (if it even exists) is likely to only be an upgrade to the seeker gimbal limit, but it’s hard to say it if even existed, sources are very weird and spotty

Also there is no public information (that gaijin would accept besides their “simulations and believes”) on the differences of each AIM120 model, what we assume is that they got more range and Gs, however the ranges of these missiles dont actually mean anything. Turn 90 degrees and chaff.
The real problem is with high capacity missile slingers such as F15EX that I mentioned earlier, its one thing to trick 10 missiles, but another to dodge 22+…
The gameplay will not change and in the most extreme case such as with the claimed range of R37M and the verified AIM174 range of 350-400kms, they still wont need to change the game, but for the sake of realism they could add extended maps for a higher BR, just for immersion
So it is not a game breaker, while you assume that by just range its gonna break everything
Being able to spam a missile makes a huge difference, however even if you couldn’t, the fact that you can disengage after firing is monumental.
They have accepted public information for the A/B, so there’s no reason they won’t/haven’t already done so for the other variants.
But but but US has always had aircraft in updates, we can’t be left behind otherwise we suffer !
