Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

That is not even remotely what I am saying.

yeah but it also happened with the south african gripen no? it got ARH in that same update though it didnt have them to begin with. there are more examples of this happening than there are of the opposite, so its not unreasonable to believe itll happen again

Unless for the fact of a massive gap being created, which is what will happen if the F-16C and F-15C get things like the AIM-9X bl 1 and AIM-120C-5.

I remember precisely you being on the side of “they will never add AMRAAMs because its going to be a disaster”, disaster or not it still happened, I only missed my prediction by 1 update, but many of the people like you continued to think that advanced ARHs will NEVER come to the game, or just extremely later.

The fact that we got exact confirmation through game’s files that they are adding SU33, which is a naval aircraft, then probably this update is gonna feature just that.

F18C, which will mainly feature its AIM9X, nobody is saying that we will get the best model of 9X, but if the F18C is to get added, it will feature AIM9X.

People forget that Python 4 has been in testing for maybe 2 years now and I believe Python 4 is better than the standard AIM9X.

So why would we not get (again) a new era of missiles?

I have never said anything even similar to that.

Nor that.

But you did keep the mentality like the others until the game itself proved in your eyes that advanced ARHs will be added

No? I always knew they would come and that if all nations got comparable missiles and platforms, they would be fine. The only thing I can think of that I said related to Fox-3s that could have been misconstrued as that is that they first should have been added on 3rd gens and lesser performing 4th gens, and then on things like the F-16C and JAS39C a few updates later.

You keep telling yourself that

I wish that someday the snail would give us Mitsubishi G3M3 and Mitsubishi G4M2

Well in uptiers there can only be so many top vehicles, the AIM9X is not going to make a disaster by any means, it is still very flareable and you can approach it just like an 9M that can pull more Gs.

Pay attention and you will not be killed, just how R73s and 9Ms are now. It won’t even impact the game that much because around 50% of players will always die at the start of a match due to long range missiles, so the new IRs even the most advanced, will probably not make an impact until an end of a match, but when the enemy team has superiority you’re dead anyway no matter their exact weapons.

What will maybe need to be addressed is when the contemporary IR missiles such as the newest 9X and Python 5/6 will be in the game on very short maps and very long range missiles like AIM174, or aircraft such as F15EX which can carry 22 missiles.

I mean how would they go about having aircraft with 22 missiles each? Would they actually properly limit player numbers or increase them? Hell knows.

I was not talking about the performance of the missiles, just the BR gap that would be created if they were introduced on the F-16C and F-15C.

2 wrongs don’t make a right. What you’re saying is that the players that play F16C and Gripen C should endure mass killings while they only have Sparrows or such. So its not actually any better and is a difference between giving a R73 to a Mig17 than giving actual missiles that F16C were actually developed for.

its the same problem, someone is gonna pay a price.

But I would rather have the jets that never got access to ARHs IRL suffer, than let actual jets that should have had advanced ARHs from the start suffer

Strawman.

Naive.

Yeah nah, mate.
