Completely ignoring when Italy had the F-104S and the Britain the Phantoms for their best fighters for ages against wildly better aircraft. Not the mention when Britain got the Tornado F.3, an F-14A counterpart, one update after the MiG-29 and F-16 came.

if we don’t get a Eurofighter your Rafale will probably be delayed too for the same Balance reason
the italian tree really doesnt look that bad at rank 7 & 8 but they suffer from overtiered planes in rank 5 & 6
The pylons have the wiring to accept any ordinance, early test Typhoon here with AIM120 mounted on the 2nd Pylon.
There is no reason why the Typhoon cant have its compliment of 8 AIM 120 and 2 AIM 9
That’s my fear too, especially because their little “Thai only” phase could mean they have a Thai (not ASEAN) subtree prepared which naturally has more C&P due to the rather limited options needing to fill 3 lines.
And even if they cancelled that, it’s not unlikely that stuff like “F-5A but Thai” or “AV-8S but with 9L” was done sooner and will be implemented anyways.
I still hope they take some time to make more unique ASEAN founders content for the subtree before release.

, when those 2 countries are doing extremely well at this point. The only country that is actually in need of a better aircraft as of now is Germany. Doesn’t mean that operators of the Typhoon won’t get to have it.
The present is not the only point in time to ever exist. You can’t just look at now to get an idea of how a nation has been treated.
