It doesn’t matter whether it’s better than Ariete or not.
Because, as I said, this isn’t a competition.
The Abrams turret rings are broken. The Abrams fuel tank bulkheads are wrong. SEP and SEPv2’s turret armor is underperforming.
When a tank has issues, these must be addressed and solved; not denied “be- because it’s still better than (X) or (Y)”.
Apart from all of the objective issues in modelling their tanks suffer from, it is undeniable that there hasn’t been a single significant change or improvement since 2019. Thermals gen. That’s it. 5 years of sidegrades.
Same goes for France? Ok, and their issues should be addressed and corrected too. Not “before”, not “first”… TOO. Because Gaijin could very well perfectly do so. It’s not like there are limited resources to only fix (X) or (Y) that forces us to choose which one gets fixed and which one does not.

No meaningful solution has been taken to even begin to address the huge problems with japan at top tier. The fact that japan type 10 is only top tier tank… Japans situtation has only gotten worse with each new update adding more bombers more things that japan has limited to no way of countering the type 81 is outranged by missles from helicopts just spawning in
It’s a good vehicle, that’s really not the issue here.
Though Japan will be royally screwed if Gaijin gives all of their reasonable subtree options to China.

In fact Japan has doesn’t have a lot left; Type 11 Tan-SAM Kai II (which is too strong atm, as with SPYDER-SR), Type 91 Kai missiles for Type 93 and ARH missiles for Type 81 (C). Thats about it and even Thailand can’t solve this issue. Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia can fill AA / SAM gaps as well (e.g.: M35 (M55) truck, RapidRanger MMS, M113A2 UMI - Later SPYDER-SR). Thailand would only added Type 76 (low tier) and M163 to fill gaps.

I’m hedging my bet that this leak is fake, these vehicles are too random.
The reception to the British T-90 was lukewarm at best, even a lot of British mains didn’t really want it.
And things like the French T-34-85 and Strv 2000 really give it away.

That can be true and because of how japan does spaa not really being feasible in war thunder with there being two a launcher and seperate radar tank. Its hard but it isnt impossible to fix as we have seen gaijin gave TAIWAN TO japan so asking for south korea spaa line to be added to japan isnt to much
Japan is already royally screwed as japan last thing add was the ctwv a tank that fills none of the glaring top tier problems japan has

Specially ever since they became “suggestion reports”.
These examples I linked are just a handful I could come up with off the top of my head within 5 minutes.
For a very long time, making bug reports has felt like nothing but a waste of time, to put it bluntly. It feels like they fall on deaf ears 90% of the times.

The type 11 would be hard to include because of the seperate radar unit then the launcher. I’m simply asking that japan gets either and allied spaa with radar and missles possible being south korean.
There are still plenty of mid- to high- tier additions that could come in-game.

AWX (which would be a Type 87 turret on a Type 61 chassis) is also viable.
Missile carriers such as the Chu-MPM.
I’m sure there are more knowledgeable people who could provide pre-Cold War vehicles as well.
Its even harder for me now, as Gaijin reclassified 90% of my sources as supplementary, some for reasons as stupid as having 700 pages (over 12 volumes).

South korean has a very limited tree anyway but including it with japan with help to fill out alot of problems with japan at top tier.
Especially when during update season and the dev servers are up and available, and multiple things get reported as wrong and no changes get made, when the whole point of a dev server is to FIX AND IMPLEMENT
The ctwv is the one of the few things gaijin took years to finally give to japan and it solves none of the gameplay problems with japan. Its a cool scout and flanker but wont be able to take on tanks or other ifvs head on might get luck and kill a helicopter. The japan top tier line up limits you. You only radar guided unit the type 87 lacks thermals so easy lock is harder. Ther type 81 is visually and good luck finding the air unit
It’d function like Type 81, so it wouldn’t be anything new. The radar isn’t needed to function outside of search and lock on after launch.
Still means we have nothing with search radar unless Gaijin allows towed Type 11 launcher with the radar truck.
Japan needs proper atgm carrier in my opinion.
Not a SAM System but still something Japan needs.
