Although I defend the game should be apolitical for the most part, you made a very good point earlier, I have to agree that adding the most NATO aligned ASEAN country, which has even a F-15 Strike Eagle and cleared to operate F-35s, is very very bad PR, the nature of Singapore’s equipment is just very westernized with some customizations like weaponry from Israel, such country would fit far better in Japan which has holes to cover. China is also a red team and adding a whole selection of western jets to them will definitely be bad for sim players and it removes any uniqueness of other trees to a degree. Not to mention China itself has its own counterparts to those jets in forms of air superiority and multirole Flankers, as well as J-10s and their gen 5s

Man…did I really come back to seeing a leak about Singapore going to China…? As a Singaporean representing majority of Singaporeans playing this game, I am utterly disappointed to the maximum. I really wish it is a fluke of a leak and not something they actually want to implement…

I feel you, I’ve seen other Singaporeans upset, while I’m not Singaporean myself, I really like your equipment/vehicle lineup, I’ve fallen asleep on my desk reading about the whole history of Singapore’s air force, genuinely 1 of the additions I looked forward to seeing the most. i have all trees in the game but I’m puzzled and to an extent disappointed to hear it’s planned to go to China when Japan would be a far better fit due to western alignment, and with a far bigger need of a subtree, I honestly hope this leak is a fluke or these plans are outdated, and if not, gaijin better observe the backlash now before it’s too late

Whilst this leak doesn’t show anything confirmed I believe that it shows Gaijin’s current thinking. And hence in a world with no pushback against their decisions, China would get ASEAN. This can be seen with Gszabi earlier in the thread concurring with dissatisfaction.
I believe the leaker has intent here to actually prevent Singapore going to China becoming a reality
