The SEPv3 already has counterparts in game: the 2A7s and Strv 122s.
As much as I hate to say it, there is no rule that states that Gaijin has to give all nations counterparts at the same time (although I would prefer everyone to get one at the same time). So if Gaijin decides to add the SEPv3 alone and just tells all nations beside US/Germany/Sweden/Italy to piss off in terms of MBTs then that wouldn’t be the first time.
It would be very comparable to 2019 where they added the 2A5 in may and added the M1A2 alone in the november update as a counterpart to it. or 2020-2021 where they added the 2A6 in november 2020 and added the T-80BVM alone as a counterpart in june 2021.
i mean counterparts for other nations so there on par, Challenger 3 T90M2 Leclerc something merkava something ariete c2 something chinese probably and buffs to the 2a7 and 122. cause then the sepv3 would be one of the most mobile with some of the best armour the best round the best sights etc
we already have one, it’s just now that we can at least hope that gaijin will grace us their 3rd party commission new vehicle with starstreak missile instead of Stormer HVM copy paste.
Simply including the SEPV3 won’t change much (sure, it will have APS), but it still has a weak point (the BMPT doesn’t need to fire a missile to lock its turret). Including the new ammunition types would change things significantly (M829A3/A4). Why, gaijin, don’t you include those ammunition types?
Indonesia has PINDAD Komodo 4x4 with dual Rbs70 launcher (same as ASRAD-R in Sweden), Starstreak on VAMTAC Rapidranger MMS, URO VAMTAC or Land Rover Defender flatbed. Malaysia and Thailand probably have a SPAA w/ SACLOS but thats from Indonesia.
And now we’ve got confirmed, at the very least, Leopard 2RI (along with, sadly, possibly a 2A4) and “others” (Maybe PT-91, apart from… that one Light Tank?)
I wonder why on the Russian SAMs every AESA is indeed a AESA one, but on the Western side its litarally RNG if its AESA or just TWS+ (mostly are missing AESA…)
they would have the same disadvantages as they do now but even more so and less of the advantages they do have over the sepv2
sure it goes from 63 tons to around 68 but it also gets a suspension upgrade and better power distribution so the speed wont be much different
you heavily underestimate the abrams armour the ufp will richochet most the time the lfp 1: already can be annoying with fuel tank bias and the sepv3 gets a du hull and a lot of turret armour upgrades and if gaijin made the turret neck armour correct and the visual model correct you might find that to be wrong
and the sepv2 is already a perfect counterpart for 2a7s/122s trading a bit of armour and survivability for better mobility firepower ammo stowage and thermal sights
It comes from the fact that TWS ESA is attached in the same spot as the tracker radar. They have no way of making ESA attached to search radar rotation, so they do not do it, as they would have to either do ESA update in a full 360, or a small zone somewhere. In tracker cases, they can just set it up the same way they do the trackers, so it’s a non issue.
Also, none of them are AESA, they are all PESA.
