i 100% agree the sepv2 should get m829a3, instead of just adding another abrams gaijin should actually spend a good amount of time fixing every top tier tank so the game can actually be balanced for everyone

Oh, interesting! If I were to bet, all of them will be B-based in WarThunder. Hopefully, they will be C-based! Guess it depends on what they are in real life and whether Gaijin knows/agrees or not.

Because they are so incredibly braindead easy to play. Any other top tier MBT I have to put in a varying amount of skill to do well in, but not the 2A7s.
That is why I hold them in higher reward statistic wise. Stats that I would consider decent in other tanks are the bare minimum in the 2A7s/122s.

Yeah, that’s what saddens me about SEPv3.
Instead of going ahead and making a well-educated guesstimation on the 2015 armor package, they will just go on and give it the values from the 1990s prototype; much like what they did with the 2A7s, giving them the values of the 1990s pre-2A5 prototypes.
THAT if they even bother, as you said; in their Abrams dev blog, after all, they said that “they did not believe that the Abrams had ever got any production variant with upgraded hull armor” because “the front wheels wouldn’t be able to withstand the weight” or something, so XD.
Maybe SEPv3 will end up yet another Same Exact Protection and, at most, given Trophy and M829A3 to sell it as a “totally new and great thing”.
At this point, I feel like we would be lucky to even get those 520mm KE, which would do nothing against most of the top shells from most angles and ranges, but at least it would finally be able to withstand 9.7-level shells, I guess. I supposse if they finally improve the CE protection it may help too.

Little addendum: the “we believe” semantics feels so forced and cynical, because there’s things ‘they believe’ with little more than a fishy paper about performance of a 37mm APHE round and its enough to go away with it.
Meanwhile, there’s stuff with even five different secondary sources that can’t pass thorugh because reasons.

Are any Leopard 2A4 export C-tech though? I guess none of them are.

This pre-dreadnought battleship appeared in the files, and it 's unusual 7in guns are referenced too
They added buttons for CIWS, finally, and file references for their operation
and textures for this weapon, which is unlike the Phalanx, Goalkeeper, RIM-116, and 3M87 Kortik - in that it 's not used by any of the missile ships currently in WTM

Apparently there’s a rule of the thumb to know which 2A4s are B or C!
Bs have the skirts we have ingame; Cs have the same skirts as the 2A5s and onwards.
I’ve read that some Cs may retain the older skirts so it’s not 100% reliable, though; but you will know for sure it’s a C if you see the newer type of skirts.

As far as I know any German 2A5, 2A6 and 2A7 are using modified C-tech Leopard 2A4 hulls. All pre-2A4 vehicles are converted to 2A4 and either sold or stored. All C-tech hulls are further upgraded.
Export 2A4s are therefore B-tech.
