The Netherlands absolutely sold large numbers of Leopard 2A4NLs abroad after downsizing their armored forces: Canada, Norway, Austria, Portugal, and others all operated ex-Dutch Leopards at various points. The Canadian 2A6M CAN fleet itself came from a mix of a few leased German vehicles and dozens of bought Dutch hulls upgraded to Canadian standards.
And the “iron crosses” thing is misleading too. Dutch tank crews use German-marked vehicles because the Dutch Army integrated its remaining tank capability into the Binational German-Dutch 414 Tank Battalion after the Netherlands dissolved its independent tank battalions. That’s an organizational NATO arrangement, not proof the tanks were always German-owned.

Maybe instead of adding an Aussie Abrams and Canadian Leo for the UK mains, it could be added for the Australians and Canadian’s who are the primary people asking for their MBTs in the UK?
Canada has the CF-188 and ADATS in the UK already, and it’s highly likely that the Canadian LAVs added will be to them, so a single Leo 2 is all they need for a full line-up.
and Australia has plenty of its aircraft in the UK and the Boxer CRV (Land 400), so an Abrams and stuff like the Hawkei NASAMS would be great.
Have a APS that destroys your own tank and doesn’t do anything else useful
Germany (before swiss subtree was confirmed) wouldve benefitted way more from dutch ground and air
My personal opinion is this:
Ultimately if a host nation for The Netherlands would ever be considered, only France or Britain would fit on all accounts (Naval, Air and Ground) for the whole WT period and for possible future events (like WWII events).
Ultimately being independent would be better.

In that case I, as a Dutchie, think it should’ve been Britain and Britain alone.
I was actually quite shocked to find out we were tied to the Belgians and Luxembergians going to France, which for those to nations made sense.
We never had anything to do with the French, beyond operating AMX-13 based vehicles. But that is nothing compared to how much US, German, and British stuff we used.
Well I mean I could suggest a good APS but gaijin thinks that the CV90120 from 2002 is the same thing as later models and artificially nerfs the hell out of it.

IF we ever get a non gimped CV90 this will likely not be it. Gaijin has some weird hate for the CV90s in general so yeah, I suggested the worst model because it’s the most likely to be added over something we want.
and IF we get it, its an entirely new vehicle that takes 1 year to get foldered just for 1 change lol

The same could be said about their stuff going to Germany, counting everything up to 1945 and in some ways, 1990 even.
The majority of the domestic aircraft were either interwar prototypes or flew as part of the Allies, and a good chunk of the ground as well, and they were rebuilt we allied stuff, even using a large part of Canadian things.
Basiclly they majorty of domestic/unique vehicles for them belong in any tree but an Axis one, much less the leader.
