Any photoproof of that?
I thought only testbeds did so far.
Tbf you also used “supposedly” so maybe not.
I’ve only heard rumors so far.
I wanna cope that one day it will be shown with the R-77M, paired with R-37M’s it might be an interesting combo.
Inshallah MiG-31BSM w/ izd.810, 180 and Izd.300 (the program has totally been restarted and is about to make it to service this time trust me)))))))))
Eh, it should be able to fit anyways. Just a tad bigger than the R-77-1.
Inshallah mig shall make an MiG-35SM with wing tip R-73s, BVP-32-50 instead of BVP-16-50, LDIRCM turret, Zhuk-AM and upgraded engines with 10000kgf
Trust me
I was always wondering why many modern prototypes looked off to me and this makes a lot of sense. It’s just that they seem too streamlined, more like they’re trying to sell a modern phone than something that’s built for practicality.
Like the KF41 as a great example
Smooth showpiece
Less smooth proper variant
That said there’s also a lot of smooth or streamlined designs that work for me, I don’t even dislike the KF-41 demonstrator, but I do generally (not always) prefer the production versions.
Everyone was the nice Sci-Fi look without the tech needed it seems.
Because these prototypes are in fact meant to advertise for selling. They must look “cool” and “futuristic”, if you’re a random official of a military you’ll tend to prefer a cool looking tank/plane over a freaking steel box with extra plates bolted on it. Then once the deals are secured, they turn the vehicle into exactly that, a box covered in plates, because that’s what an actual combat vehicle is
I mean to an extent it’s also that some changes for practicality are done based on testing on a simpler prototype. For example the Stingray was another very smooth tank initially, then had a lot of minor changes that came around when Thailand ordered a production tank, all of which weren’t design choices but practical changes.
Prototype Stingray tank
Thai Stingray tank
That said for the modern day I think the only thing this really does is force production designs to look less Sci-Fi, while that is still absolutely what they’d do if they could
PL-01 comes to mind, a beautiful design lol
Indeed, it was a beauty, if only it were more than a driving mock-up.
It’s a CV90 it’s always beautiful
How about those stealth tanks from Britain and Germany, I was thinking the PL-01 but those were like actual prototypes and not just concept 3D renders or wooden mockups iirc

I guess technically they were mockups well maybe the Leo, idk I don’t know enough about them lol
Wonder if we will see more Anti ship missiles that have ground attack capabilities in the near future
Such as?
I’m about to go on vacation to Albania for two weeks, what do you lot think are the odds I miss some big announcement or the like?
RBS 15 MK.III only the MK.III of the RBS family has ground attack capabilities, or maybe MK.4 I don’t remember if it does
Edit just the Gungnir can
Enjoy. I just got back from one :)
And don’t worry, any news published would still be here when you get back. But we are not that close to a major update.
