Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 2)

The unfortunate truth.

would steal the spotlight of the minor nations finally getting new top tier jets that are now just out classed yet again

That isn’t the fault of South Africa though. That’s Gaijin doing what they do best.

For Japan, arguably yes, as it would provide more diversity to the Japanese lineup.

Who is saying that it would have to be copy paste though?
Countries that could be considered viable additions for Japanese sub-trees also produce or modify things locally…
Being ignorant and then subsequently judgemental of that fact is disingenuous.

Gib our Hurricane back :(

im going to say this like I have said to everyone else the domestic light tank like for Britain would have been cool but would also have just been worse for the tree

Why? F-14 was used well into R-77 timeline for good reason.
Notching ARHs is easier than people seem to thing.

I mean, despite people constantly saying there’s more to a tree than top tier, the top tier of a tree really defines it. All of the japanese top tier being copy paste would be really boring imo. I’d rather have the tree stop below top tier and just play USA if I want to play an Abrams for example.

And why would that be?
Britain is one of the foremost producers of light vehicles in use around the world with a big variety of missions these vehicles are supposed to do.

Hell, it would likely be one of the most diverse light vehicles lines if anything while being able to follow the tree from rank I up to rank VIII.

That’s been passed already, that one’s just a catch-up.

You guys think it’ll be added as it was demonstrated or with the chance that it will come with what was specified for production?

How so? They play almost entirely the same

Passed to devs generally means nothing for the game and is just a fancy tradition unfortunately, but I hope that the ones present in this passed to devs do make it in game soon as they are all very cool options.

Usually, gaijin adds demonstrators in the configuration they actually had. See PSO, AZUR, …

diverse doesnt mean good, look at the rooikat mk1d and MTTD both of those are better then the Vickers mk11, and who said we would even get our more modern light tanks knowing gaijin it would have ended with the CVRT family which again would have left the UK in a worse spot then SA.

The SA sub tree is also by far the best sub tree in the game with only a single copy past tank being the eland 90 every other tank is domestically built by south africa

Being a different platform at all.
I’d argue that the Type 74 can be played much more aggressively than M48 though and requires more finesse with it’s suspension and whatnot.
A case of standard reliable vs one that is better for those who like using tricks.

The only diversity it provides is visual. Otherwise the M60s just play like slightly worse Type 74s.
And yeah, it is copy-paste, “oh b-but they upgraded their late model M60s!” So? It’s still an M60 with little changes and everything else is still directly taken from other trees.
Might as well just make the US and Russian armies stationed in Japan subtrees instead.

Ah well, the lack of LWS will definitely hurt it. The reason for what was specified for when it would have been produced was the addition of GALIX that was on the Vextra TML.

Sometimes passed to devs make it within the next patch or two, while some never make it in.
We’ll just have to see then on what they decide.

there have been cases of vehicles that made it in right as they were passed
