Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 1)

I more lines in trees is totally doable using the current engine. There are much more complex mechanics in this engine compared to adding a few more lines in tech trees. If those can work then why can’t they add more lines? I think they are intentionally avoiding more lines.
I dont think adding a few more lines would break the engine.

Yep

That is something which is in no way tied to engine but to the WT UI design. There is no technical issue preventing more TT lines it is simply UI issue becase gaijins doesn´t want to have horizontal scrolling in the TT UI.

War thunder’s UI sucks. Gaijin couldn’t even make a proper auto resizing UI. UI looks broken in some resolutions.

More like vbci 2 but yeah

The worst part is that the “Leak” says we’re only getting a downgrade of the VBCI-2 with the Dragar turret and 25mm.

Another problem is that even if it’s the regular VBCI-2 it’s just a worse Jaguar.
So it comes back to the fact that I’d rather just get nothing if it means getting bad copy paste again.

Yeah, as Miraz said. I’d hope an engine update would allow for things like

  • ECM
  • Seperated Flares and Chaff
  • ARH
  • Cluster bombs
  • More advanced cockpit HUDs
  • ERA Shell perforation
  • Improved T-Pods
  • Improved render distances
  • Better UI configuration
  • Larger maps
  • More complex map objectives
  • Better AI.
  • CCRP overhaul

Simply adding more lines is just a UI adjustment

But the vbci 2 with a 25 mm doesn’t even exist lol

Nether does the AJ

That’s why I say “leak” But who knows with Escargot’s infinite wisdom they might go back to butchering France in the most lazy ways possible because they think there’s no money to be made.

There’s a difference between the two though.

One’s a stop gap because Japan had nothing else.
The other is a genuine insult and spit in the face.

yeah … If this is true we riot

Just give Japan a gimped XF-2A man…

And yet they ONLY gave japan a stop gap because they had nothing… Meanwhile Britain and Sweden…

The U.K and Sweden are a lot less in a bad place then if Japan didn’t get anything.

But the situation with japan can easily be fixed by hmm adding Thailand.

Isnt the F4J KAI an 11.7?

Britain’s highest A2A jet is only 11.3 currently. Harrier Gr7 is only 11.7 because it got Aim-9Ms. Without that, It was 11.3 as well. So straight off the bat, Japan had a stronger A2A aircraft than Britain does.

Sweden only has the Viggen D at 11.3

By that criteria, Japan had and without the F-16AJ would still have a stronger A2A line up than Britain or Sweden

They could have simply done the FGR2 method, and given the KAI better BVR missiles. Instead they invented an F-16 for them. Better jet for Britain and Sweden, nope, gotta live with 11.3s for a year+

I wouldn’t want to be at the receiving end of its barrel, that’s for sure

in the mean time the “leak” with Puma with spikes, boxer variant and 2 mbts for germany :P

the JA-37D is 11.3 they moved it down in br

Didnt notice that. So yeah, Britain and Sweden only have 11.3s
