It was rumours about “Dagor 7” or something, in part 1 of this R&R thread, but nothing cited.
Yeah I’ve never touched Sim to be honest. I know I’d want a HOTAS before going into it. The analog keyboard is nice for refined movement controls of vehicles with simple flight controls, but I’ve played simple controls for so damn long making a massive change is gonna be a headache thatll involve a lot of dying while hitting the wrong key binds.
Yeah, it is a big learning curve. the larger maps and much slower gameplay suit me better, plus I do have a HOTAS. but its the only gamemode in which aircraft like the Tornado IDS are actually good, nothing Britain has currently is that well suited for the ARB meta at the moment (at higher tiers)
Yeah I see that when they made Dagor engine open source they said stay tuned for an announcement late November. I don’t see anything about Dagor 7.
Though them making the engine open source is almost like a “We are tired of you people. Why don’t you just make you’re own version of War Thunder, here’s the engine.”
With the next iteration of Dagor, would it be the fix needed for something like the flares and chaff mechanics to be properly implemented?
I wish more helicopter flight mechanics existed. Like I know you can compressor stall etc. in Air sim, but I really wish I could auto rotate the helicopter instead of constantly falling out of the sky like a sack of lead bricks. At least in Arma I can auto rotate a helicopter with a dead engine.
Yeah, last Dagor update was May last year, so 19 months ago. Its definetly due and just too many things limited due to “game limitations”
I have no idea. I’ve heard the Jaguar had Phimat pods for extra chaff during its dev server and it just caused crashes or something and everything ive heard on it sounds like its spaghetti code issues. Only logical answer is that either they dont care enough about it to put in the work and consider the current game situation “fine” or something is serverly limiting its addition.
But I’d hope for things like this:

Helis are all round under utelised. I hate GRB at the moment, but you are practically forced to play GRB if you want to fly a heli. Such a shame,. They need their own set of gamemodes and with that more advanced physics. Though again I think that is engine limitations.

me looking at the BMP-2M coming out at 9.3 then getting down brd to 8.7 just for it to go all the way back to 10.0

I mean dimensionally it’s smaller, so it should have better flight characteristics than the Maverick.
God I think it was TEC, or some other influencer. I figured it had to do with the higher HP engine.
Which it does by the way, 1130hp vs 1000hp on the 90A.
i mean there is a reason they are trying to start up t80 production in Russia over more production of t90m im guessing that the reverse speed has been a massive issue in the defensive part of some conflict going on somewhere
Yep, im not sure by how much though, there is also balance to consider. I think I’d rather have them in a weaken state ( to then be buffed in the future when the game allows) than not have them for a while.
The engine is definitely better…cus it’s the exact same upgrade engine we already find on the T-72B3M. And I see TEC strikes again unfortunately. The transmission is the exact same, so expect a T-72B3M with better armor and slightly better firepower thanks to 3BM59
It seems the only way we are getting out of our slow reverse gears are with the T-80BVM 2023, or playing china…
3BM59 doesn’t offer significative perforation advantages (>10mm) over current 3BM60. Russian 125mm firepower is fucked until the T-14.
T-90M mod.2017 It seems that there will be more variants of T-90M in the future.
