Something tells me though that next-gen IR missiles will be LOBL first, and who knows how long they will stay stuck like that.

interesting. when you consider “other IR missile” is probably just the AIM-9, this thing would top out at about mach 3.75
hopefully not, but you’re probably right tbh X)
It will be similar to the MICA, specifically who knows has more range as both are MBDA products and I don’t think they would want to knock one munition down in the favour of the other one.

not really knocking it down since the MICA-IR is a very high end IR missile, and the ASRAAM is more in line with others in price
oh my bad I was only told about the US, British and Soviet cluster bombs. I also haddent seen anyone post anything about the french cluster bombs at all

So is the ASRAAM, we already know the MICA-EM peforms ingame so MICA IR will be quite similar.
One states to near BVR, and MICA doesn’t state BVR though?

putting the MICA EM and CAMM in the same situation seems pretty similar with the MICA edging out the further a target is
adding 9X to the equation kinda shows what to expect when we see the ASRAAM, MICA IR and AIM-9X on actual planes
