It does seem to be overperforming though.
I think this makes some sense but we have to keep in mind that the December update is usually a large one with the November update being a filler. I think it would be strange to only receive 1 aircraft and new missiles in the December update.
Not really mica IR is more suited to longer range engagements lmao not dogfighting while it can it’s not it’s role
MICA IR is a long range missile that has datalink. People will 100% use it as a long range missile that they can quietly guide in.
i mean, its worse than the F-15E in ITR and STR (for STR it does take the lead at high speed due to engines).
i dont think its overperforming, its worse in a dogfight but has way more thrust which was expected with the GE-129’s
-7 isn’t gonna kill it, its bad but not -5 bad
It is
So based on the current development progress, is it possible that the sea venom will arrive in this version?
Thanks
IR MICA requires modifications or any Mirage can have it?(asking for the Taiwan’s one)
i know, im saying its pretty much what many people expected
I didnt expect it to mog ef and raf
Im assuming that has a source (mad jealous with my lack of source for data link on asraam).
Well, interestingly enough it’s still not worse enough than the F-15E and ITR and STR. For instance the F-15EX doesn’t have enough channel loss. F-15E has 20% channel loss (modeled after performance charts) while the F-15EX has 7.5% channel loss when the channel loss should be the same or much closer together.
So yes, the F-15EX should be heavier than the F-15E while having around the same thrust, should be quite a bit worse than it is now.
Yes, multiple sources state MICA IR is exactly the same as MICA EM, just different seekers. “Antenne LAM” is the datalink receiver.

GE-129 is supposed to have way more thrust. GE-129 F-15’s were said to be very quick, i see no issue. channel loss is probably too much on F-15E anyways.
F-15 intake would help with the high speed issues for GE-129 we see on F-16 too
I cant wait for the ASRAAM to have a 8km lock range due to no data link… We should really be able to mad dog missiles.
Prob meant Thrust to weight .
How is that? The 129 according to sources has just 400kg more thrust.
29,160 pounds for the F-15E engines
29,500 pounds for the 129
Yup, if only to get to altitude. Though I do think we need the al41 version too since that’s realistically what we have. Though it’s gaijin so they can always just pull the early/late shi and make one a premium lol
Everything will be the same tbh, either everyone can fire without needing to have seeker lock and then do LOAL or no one can do it.
