I disagree, the intention behind specific air frames getting 120C was to make air frames that were under preforming for their BR more competitive, if anything this will help to slightly offset the power creep introduced with EFT and ravioli
That might be true if it was F-18C only, but with F-15E/I getting Aim-120C5s, the Typhoon should now also get Aim-120C5s and the MICA EM should get better range performance
typhoon absolutely should not get 120C
it is the second best airframe in the game by all metrics and the second or third best plane for the air rb meta, it does not need to be buffed and is reasonable for gaijin to buff planes that are worse that sit at the same br to try balance the game.
Haha, no. F-15E doesnt need to dominate every match again.
Typhoon is already underperforming enough as it is without also ahving weaker AAMs than its direct equivalent aircraft
this wont make the f15e dominate, I dont know where you are getting that.
120C is still just as easy to notch as 120A and still worse than other missiles at close range which is a much bigger problem on f15e due to its poor turning circle. Given that all matches develop into close range the f15e will still be at a disadvantage to many other platforms.
F-15E is already stronger than the Typhoon in BVR as it has more missiles and a better radar with equal FM in terms of max speed and climb rate. F-15E with Aim-120C5s would gain a MASSIVE advantage over the Typhoon once again.
Given just how poorly modeled the Typhoon is and how they refuse to fix the radar, FM, CMs, etc etc. Then it should have equal AAMs to the F-15 and Su-30
f15e is not really better than EFT in BVR though due to its poor turning performance not allowing you to get nose on to launch a missile quickly after defeating an incoming missile. This allows any reasonable competent pilot in EFT to safely pressure the f15e until they make a mistake and die.
I don’t believe we will get next gen ir missiles right now, but with how fast we got new long range missiles it will probably be in december ?
It seems fitting for me with this test with spaa for those new missiles too.
This is kinda exactly what I wanted to avoid, Gaijin bouncing around giving each nation new missiles piecemeal and resulting in each update a new nation bodying all others, instead of all at once
First of all they shouldnt leave 120c to some planes that will have to fight against them
I’m just here to make a humble request
gib 9X to the AH-1Z
‘All at once’ doesn’t have to be this update
I just hope the 9X also ends up on the AH-1Z , just like they did with the 9L back in the day.
It would give a decent performance kick to an otherwise okay-ish helicopter.
Reading this thread, I understand that the “new missiles” will also be included for aircraft, so could someone tell me what missiles will be available for Israeli aircrafts? please.
well
not yet
but in some futher updates i think that could be done
Also would be good to start from worsest examples, such as R-74(worsest IRCCM, not even matrix), AIM-9X(Worsest range), maybe smth else too
Yeahhh no
All versions of the typhoons use AIM-120C-5 and AIM-120B as their main ordinance at one point then switch to the Meteor Missile in later times so yes AIM-120C-5 should go to the Eurofighter typhoon
this isnt a historical armament question but a balancing question, the only planes that are getting 120C5 are the ones which have the lowest player stats in an attempt to balance top tier
adding the same missiles to some of the aircraft with the best stats counter mines the balancing ability of this addition
If it was the F-18C and only the F-18C, then that argument might hold a slither of truth. But the F-15C would barely need a buff to be equal to the Typhoon let alone the F-15E.
F-15E = Typhoon.
If F-15E gets AIm-120C5s then Typhoon should get Aim-120C5. Its that simple.
Depending on how the IIR missiles get modelled I wouldn’t want them to be available on aircraft until Gaijin works on improved countermeasures and proper ECM.
Without modern countermeasures those missiles would just be too strong.
And just like with the introduction of IRCCM and ARH missiles, there definitely need to be some general gameplay changes in ARB, which likely will not happen however and make top tier even more painful than it already is.
