New SAM's (CLAWS) able to kill helis while parked at spawn

prob just rng it wasn’t really tracking anymore prob just went to your general location with ins and multipathing put it down right next to you

In a Ka-50? Yeah bro dont expect any sympathy from me gang

You get unlucky one time and crash out, maybe wait until this becomes a pattern

mb i dont want to grind helis

Just use your normal tanks to grind helis. Turn on the research helicopters with tanks option. Also I mean it really isnt that hard to grind helis if you grind them in GRB. Ive spaded all Italian helis and I found it is generally faster to grind them just playing normally in GRB. Helicopter PvE just sucks dont play that

Its so slow, Its better to just research the whole tech tree first and then do helis when there’s nothing left to do. It’s not like Helis are still that OP.

splash dmg ?

i owned the ka-50 before that was an option

Did you watch the replay sensor view?

What did the CLAWS track? I’m suspecting it was the chaff making the radar signature higher.

I use CLAWS and the radar is super bad with ghosting at low heights and not seeing helis outside of ~6km when they’re low to the ground.

correct

Then no need to respond

If the missile came from above, then there is nothing you can do, multipathing doesn’t work for missiles that come directly on top.

  • Common issue with Heli spawns being in view of SPAA
  • Chaff only works as countermeasure when you move away from it, in terms of radar return: sitting in chaff only makes you an even bigger target

best to move away as fast a possible while flying NoE if you’re RWR is going off as soon as you spawn

This is not a “random” gaijin moment this is a constant gaijin moment. I was rearming on the airfield with my F15 in ARB when an AIM-120C-5 slammed into my face. Completely stationary and on the tarmac.

Said ramdon bc I thonk he was just hovering at low altitude, but he got killed by the missile splash damage for staying landed, because as you can see the missile still missed.

toss rockets

One does not simply toss a rocket.

Yes, that’s inertial guidance and splash damage doing it. You led it to your runway and it exploded on the ground

how did it lock and fire in the first place. or did you just not read that part?

A replay link would clear a lot of stuff up.
