This is actually just a skill issue. Where you climbing to high altitude? I know a lot of people just climb and literally put themselves in the worst possible defensive situation in helis.
As for the spawn, there is the option of not just standing still in spawn? It generally isn’t a good idea to stay in the spawn because planes will target them.
Also I don’t know what heli you were in, but if you were facing a CLAWS you probably have some form of IRCM.
To evade AIM-9X (or just any IRCCM missile) turn your helicopter around so that the IRCM block is facing the missile. This will jam the missile a little bit, but you also need to spam flares to make sure it doesn’t hit. This works great for me in the AH-129D
As for evading ARH missiles in a heli, just don’t be dumb bro??? It’s literally harder to get hit by a ARH in a heli than it is to not be hit
what has this got to do with what i said? i was at the far spawn and i was not heli rushing it was near the end of the match and i was still at the spawn?
climbing to high altitude? is everyone on the forum incapable of reading? i was on the fucking ground.
also maybe yeah im at risk of planes, but thats not what killed me? and if i took off to move i wouldve been shot down even quicker
is the CLAWS a ground attack vehicle? no
is it designed to lock and attack ground targets? no
can ground radar detect stationary targets? no
its is GMT meaning ground MOVING target
radars specifically designed for ground target acquisition only have a few KM range for stationary targets
well technically speaking chaff works best when you’re a moving target. Dispensing chaff on the floor will still make the missile hit the general area around you. And it looks like the missile hit in front of you, the splash damage killing your pilots. Should they be able to fire on you in the first place? That’s an issue with the pad placement and possibly radar issues.
