Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

We’re here now. Gotta see if they can put this idea back in the oven, finish cooking, and make the best of a currently bad situation ig.

Interesting discussion. I never ever looked at my stats, nor i checked the stats of other. It is a complete regardless point for me. Why would one love to see the decorations of another player!?

Yes, is this an edit or a patch? I don’t have it in game.

Viewing my friend’s progress, viewing my enemy’s progress, viewing my own achievements for playing nations.

I made it myself using Photoshop, and this is my current ideal appearance

Besides having been in Swiss Air Force IRL in the 90th and flying in Sims since 1987, I have never given any care about my own stats nor the ones of others.
I had to be good at what I am doing, i had a job to do. I had to score a hit. If this was done with a medal or not, who cares. To compare with others …!? no sorry, never
Of course I had to file my paperwork then and now, but thats a duty which you got to do IRL, why would I do it in Sim?

would’ve been so simple too, not only is the new one simply lacking in it’s design, and the UI of it is horrific on gaijins behalf, they really could’ve done better or delayed it, no one is particularly interested in it anyway. As you have shown it’s extremely easy to fix for them, doesn’t even have to be interactive just please put more on the screen

It’s a tactic more than a bragging right, if there are 3 people left in the lobby, all in the same aircraft, you used to be able to quickly check to see who to target first to avoid being picked of by a better player than the other 2, this is applicable to all game modes besides naval which is too passive to work but the gist of it is: Stat checking is used as an intelligence tool just like scouting, it helps you identify and gauge how difficult your next fight will be and allows you to decide how to take them on.

Interesting view.

I don’t invest 5sec of Intel in game. I just play.

fair enough, coming from a lot of stealth/combat games I personally like to know as much about my enemy as I can since it gives me more time to plan how to deal with them.

I see the point. Maybe I am just tired of when flying IRL, with all the paperwork, that I want my freedom in game ;-)
I spent more time with paper on ground, than flying

Heard of that lol, my grandpa was an air force pilot and had a similar experience, especially later into his career.

After all this work and dedication to have all my purchased vehicles spaded and thus have a nice and clean eye candy player card, in one single move you just stripped me of all my pride and drive to play the game. That’s an achievement. My whole game is centered around those stats and numbers. That’s what gives me satisfaction and accomplishment. Please add the nation flags, vehicles purchased/spaded numbers in the new profile card. There’s plenty of room.

I didnt fully check it out. Does the new player card also show how many times you gotten a reward? Like doomsday! ?

They say they want player profiles to be more personalized and private. Fine, but the result is that we can’t quickly get an overview of a player’s profile, nor can we showcase our proudest achievements, like medals, on the front page of the profile. I don’t know how this counts as “personalization.”

Additionally, the current profile system doesn’t remember previous viewing preferences. Every time I want to check my stats, it forces me to view arcade mode data first, which is kinda frustrating.

All in all, the player profile UI update is disastrous and is not as good as the old one. I wonder if Gaijin could roll back. But maybe they will say, not a BUG.
