For our IRIAF variant, we need to see a new Fakour-90 and extra r-27r1 impact on performance.
If it does good. I meant too good. It will end up with BR Nerf and tied with F-14B even though 14A IRIAF will perform worse than F-14B.
We have examples like Hunter F.6 with SRAAM and no RWR faced F-14A when Tomcat first arrived, and a bullshit level of compression over the early-jet era.
And civil war has nothing to do with the F-14, cause otherwise the most popular aircraft wouldn’t be F-5s, F-4s, F-15s, F8s, A-10s [yes, they’re more popular than F-14s], and F-16s.
And of course F-14B is more popular than F-14A by far.
I think store premiums or premiums/squadron planes shouldnt have the newest/most advanced missiles of the game on them anyway, in this case ARH missiles.
Just the popularity of America due to movies, and most English-speaking movies being related to the American military.
Movies and Counter Strike are also why there’s a subset of players that want smaller lobbies. Movies portrayed less aircraft, and they’re use to ranked games like Counter Strike that rely more on individual skill than teams doing well as a whole.
You don’t want a scandal, but you create this topic, typical duplicity of the red team. I’m looking forward to the next update where the red team will be given a premium MiG-29 or some Su-47 (yes, I know that it couldn’t fly normally, the Yak-141 didn’t have weapons, but it was added to the game) to see how this, according to you, will be different. Why do the reds always have everything on time with their Pantsir, etc., while NATO equipment appeared at the wrong time.
Mister McCarthy, I never said ‘the Soviet Union should always monopolise new equipment’ or ‘the F-14 IRIAF should be Soviet equipment’.
As British main(although I enjoy playing every nation’s plane, and concerned about grinding French air branch and Israel air branch for now.)
Your “Do you mean that Soviet equipment always needs to be up to date, but NATO equipment doesn’t have to come out on time?” reply is a bit disconcerting, and it feels like you are blurring the point because I don’t like both of historically-incorrect countermeasure pod in F-5C and unhistorical Yak-141’s IRST pod which can’t be installed in its nose.
There are already two types of F-14s implemented in War Thunder, which have asymmetric ARH weaponry called the ‘AIM-54 Phoenix’.
Despite being an easy-to-avoid missile, it already offers an unfair experience thanks to Battle-Rating compression and the trashy performance of RWR on some planes. also, there are no ARH counterparts in the rest of the nation.
I think they are meta planes now. and I felt somewhat kind of tired from facing them while 30% of the team was shot down by a meteor shower of AIM-54(especially F1C-200 thanks to pos ‘Mirage Detecteur’ RWR) and following a forced fight in seriously outnumbered and outgunned condition.
I like F-14 too, who can hate one of the best 4th-Gen fighters which have a sexy Swept-wing?
just being tired of Phoenix meta and being outgunned. and scared of [Strengthen Phoenix meta with fakour-90.]
If you felt ‘boo he attacked our new cool Iranian tomcat and he said she isn’t cool! he must’ve been one of those commie bastards who feel jealousy about it.’ from my original post.
If you misunderstood because of my writing, I apologize for writing vaguely.
The early 1950s seem to be the perfect timeline for you, so I hope you find a time machine for ya.
My only observation about the F-14 is that it should be added to the Russian/Soviet Tree, since they never added the MiG-25 or MiG-31. And Iran belong to Red Forces
I completely disagree on this point, me and my MiG-23, Mirage F1 and Mirage-2000.
The only “advantage” the US has in this BR range is the F-14 and the Phoenix. And people only die from the AIM54 because they are inattentive or make DUMB mistakes, like I do sometimes :)
The F14AM being added is pre-revolution. When Iran was an Ally to US. It makes zero sense to give the F14AM to the USSR as they never flew it. They never stocked them. Iran kept them.
Smin stated the F-14 added is to represent a F-14A from all states of time and not just a specific one (such as pre-revolution). This is why the Fakour 90, the R-27R1, and the Sedjil are being added as available weaponry (despite only being used post revolution).
Adding F-14 on the Soviets will not be the freakin answer but it makes shit even worse unless we add more ridiculous bullshit-like counterparts like F-14J/F-14G/CF-14.
Soviet always talked like that when Su-25 punishing CM-less outdated early-jet junks like
‘What do you mean? Americans have A-10A too, why do you complain about Su-25 only?’
while I got my ass clapped in my Jaguar GR.1 against the American-Soviet coalition.
as long as Americans and the Soviets can queue with the same side, [Giving Counterpart only to the Soviets] can never be an option.
it always makes shit worse.
F2H vs Su-11,
F-86F-25 vs MiG-15bis,
F-5C vs MiG-21SMT,
F-5E vs MiG-21bis and vice versa.
