We have examples like Hunter F.6 with SRAAM and no RWR faced F-14A when Tomcat first arrived, and a bullshit level of compression over the early-jet era.

After the F-14 dropped…I think 8/10 matches are civil war.
And civil war has nothing to do with the F-14, cause otherwise the most popular aircraft wouldn’t be F-5s, F-4s, F-15s, F8s, A-10s [yes, they’re more popular than F-14s], and F-16s.
And of course F-14B is more popular than F-14A by far.
I think store premiums or premiums/squadron planes shouldnt have the newest/most advanced missiles of the game on them anyway, in this case ARH missiles.
It had an impact at one point, anytime an iconic US aircraft shows up you get extreme civil war.
That being said, it has not died down since the introduction of the F-14.

Movies and Counter Strike are also why there’s a subset of players that want smaller lobbies. Movies portrayed less aircraft, and they’re use to ranked games like Counter Strike that rely more on individual skill than teams doing well as a whole.

There are already two types of F-14s implemented in War Thunder, which have asymmetric ARH weaponry called the ‘AIM-54 Phoenix’.
Despite being an easy-to-avoid missile, it already offers an unfair experience thanks to Battle-Rating compression and the trashy performance of RWR on some planes. also, there are no ARH counterparts in the rest of the nation.
I think they are meta planes now. and I felt somewhat kind of tired from facing them while 30% of the team was shot down by a meteor shower of AIM-54(especially F1C-200 thanks to pos ‘Mirage Detecteur’ RWR) and following a forced fight in seriously outnumbered and outgunned condition.
I like F-14 too, who can hate one of the best 4th-Gen fighters which have a sexy Swept-wing?

My only observation about the F-14 is that it should be added to the Russian/Soviet Tree, since they never added the MiG-25 or MiG-31. And Iran belong to Red Forces

The only “advantage” the US has in this BR range is the F-14 and the Phoenix. And people only die from the AIM54 because they are inattentive or make DUMB mistakes, like I do sometimes :)
There is nothing more satisfying than facing an F-14, it’s a free kill, a sitting duck.
The F14AM being added is pre-revolution. When Iran was an Ally to US. It makes zero sense to give the F14AM to the USSR as they never flew it. They never stocked them. Iran kept them.
