realistic? This would be a spawn of attempted realism and nothing more, we hope that the developers one day make something realistic.
When are they going to make the volumetric bullets truly realistic, making them veer depending on where they hit instead of mysteriously disappearing?
When are they going to change the damage of the bullets to make them realistic since the APHE in reality is not very different from the fullAP, or that the tungsten bullets fragment doing huge damage?
When are they going to change the penetration calculator since the American 90mm ammunition could pierce the front of the Panther, especially the T33 that could at more than 900 meters but in the game it can’t even at 100 meters?
That’s realism, but in the game we don’t have it.
They already veer.
However, APFSDS & APDS “shatter” because they are brittle along the lateral direction.
They are only compressive length-wise.
APCR currently fragments & was made that way back in 2018/2019.
As for AP, that’s the big ammo to correct, as Gaijin has been correcting all the ammo over the last 5 years.
They started with APCR, recently did APDS early this year, now APCBC rounds.
I’m referring to the fact that the bullet in the hangar test shows that it penetrates easily, but in battle the bullet literally shatters on the plate into totally vulnerable parts, doing no damage at all
Very well, the first generation APCR and APDS fragment when piercing spaced armor and do not generate damage, I understand that and it makes sense because it is realistic, although you would have to look at how much armor is needed for them to fragment, the problem is that if they are fragments for example in a 60mm spaced armor, so when you pierce an enemy that has 60mm or 70mm without being spaced, where does all that huge amount of fragments go? Because it seems to me that in spaced armor it fragments and disappears but in normal armor It mysteriously doesn’t fragment and does normal bullet damage, when it should be much higher since the projectile has broken into many small pieces.
Ah well, my theory is that it is either a bad implementation of the volumetric bullets, or it is that they have a failure in the servers or something, since I have been having rebounds or armor stops in flat areas for a long time, for example shots of bullets of 230mm of penetration in the flat area of a tier 1 that only has 30mm.
here, I’m not making this up, if you too have encountered this problem, glad to know that my impressions were not wrong
Man, I imagine that this happens to everyone, I don’t think it’s a bug limited only to certain people, for example a friend who plays also usually happens to him too, although I couldn’t tell you if it happens at the same frequency, since There are times when I have absurd rebounds in every two games and even several times in the game. For example, yesterday with my T-54 with the 230mm penetration bullet I found a Type 69 from the side at 200 meters, I shot it in the helmet and bounced off the side while being completely flat, I charged and hit the side of the tower half turning and bounced again, he shot me and bounced (I don’t know how) and then I shot at the front of the tower (the part harder) and kill him.
Oh I know what’s even worse than France’s lineup, Russia still has the IS-6 at 7.3, guess they ‘’‘‘accidentally’’ forgot to uptier that as well, clearly the worst vehicle at 7.3 that didn’t deserve to get uptiered so now it has free reign at 7.3 because all the opposition is gone.
no the IS-6 was 7.0 before
7.0 was a complete joke to begin with, like the Object 120 getting to be 7.3 for like 5 years, but you can’t put that at 7.3 when you remove everything else from that BR.
There were changes when these BR caps rose though, and many of the vehicles that were subject to the changes were meta premiums or their counterparts.
T-72 TURMS was 9.7 beforw the changes you mentioned
BMP 2m was 8.7 (and a mistake in the first place).
2s38 was added at 9.7
Leopard 2a4 at 10.0
Ztz 96a prem variant at 9.7.
They were moved up, they no longer clubbed down, and those changes were essentially undone with the “crunch zone” going from 6.7-7.7 up to 9.0-10.3.
They should have moved the cap to 12.0 and moved the top end up, that’s perfect because then the BR cap would match air.
USA also gets M47 (which forces a player to research a folder vehicle) to add to their small lineup of almost nothing, Japan gets somewhat of a 7.3 lineup but barely their whole stick is still heatfs spam at 6.7, Russians are enjoying basically only heavies for 7.0-7.3 now obviously the T-44-100 exists but still not comparable to to the power 7.3 France wields.
British 7.3 got shafted super hard with vehicles that shouldn’t have gone up going up such as the caernarvon and cent mk iii both of which were fine at 7.3. Germany 7.3 is pretty much gone although the half of it should have been 7.7 years ago anyways (like the Leo 1 and bmp-1), China didn’t really need 7.3 the thing is now all their 7.7 lineup is now 8.0.
I honestly don’t see how shifting the tanks in this br range was a good idea and that 0 thoughts went into moving 80% of the vehicles of this range and don’t get started on the ranges above also effected in this. (I’m looking at vehicles like Shot Kal Dalet fighting Turms now for some reason as some examples)
The br changes themselves don’t really do much to change the situation for 6.7 vehicles as France demonstrates easily more so than ever with even less competition around it can dominate even easier especially when it’s got very strong 7.3’s.
It seems 8.0 is one of the worst places to be now, so everyone removes it from their lineup and plays 7.7 and 7.3 instead, so the result is that WW2 is worse than it has ever been, with these nations lacking vehicles at 7-7.7 they’re getting rolled over and over by these really strong vehicles that have no counter.
Haven’t played a single game that was 6.7 top, so this decompression is useless, as predicted, and just created a black hole that France and Russia benefit from.
Thought the same as I saw the new BR distributions. Some vehicles will have a hard time, like the Leoprad 1 with just heat, no stab, no thermal, no laser ranging, no hunter killer mechanic (no armor). This will be interesting when you see what this one will be put up against.
IS-6 is frontally pennable by many opponents even at lower BRs. I mostly play German 6.7, I should know. Also the turret weak spot can’t be effectively hidden if you want to actually, you know, shoot.
It’s fine at 7.3. Heavies SHOULD be hatd to kill frontally.
Speaking of 7.3, I got the Ru 251 as a Leo substitute. When I unlock the current battle pass German vehicle, which is more than capable of being uptiered, I’ll take it to 7.3 too. The JPz 4-5 is also perfectly capable at 7.3 still, having the same cannon as the Ru.
The basic problem is that you raised and pushed all the nations to USSR tier 4-5, whose armor protection is the best. I tested it in the last 3 days, practically over 90% the team that has the USSR → wins. This really messed up the principle of proportionality.
It’s fine at 7.3 is 7.3 wasn’t a deadzone, an IS-6 is not equal to a Wiesel.
Wiesel is a different role
In my opinion wiesel 1a4 should get thermals and dm63 removed and put at 4.7 or 5.0. Then add the wiesel rmk30 to 7.7 or something.
