USA also gets M47 (which forces a player to research a folder vehicle) to add to their small lineup of almost nothing, Japan gets somewhat of a 7.3 lineup but barely their whole stick is still heatfs spam at 6.7, Russians are enjoying basically only heavies for 7.0-7.3 now obviously the T-44-100 exists but still not comparable to to the power 7.3 France wields.
British 7.3 got shafted super hard with vehicles that shouldn’t have gone up going up such as the caernarvon and cent mk iii both of which were fine at 7.3. Germany 7.3 is pretty much gone although the half of it should have been 7.7 years ago anyways (like the Leo 1 and bmp-1), China didn’t really need 7.3 the thing is now all their 7.7 lineup is now 8.0.
I honestly don’t see how shifting the tanks in this br range was a good idea and that 0 thoughts went into moving 80% of the vehicles of this range and don’t get started on the ranges above also effected in this. (I’m looking at vehicles like Shot Kal Dalet fighting Turms now for some reason as some examples)
The br changes themselves don’t really do much to change the situation for 6.7 vehicles as France demonstrates easily more so than ever with even less competition around it can dominate even easier especially when it’s got very strong 7.3’s.
It seems 8.0 is one of the worst places to be now, so everyone removes it from their lineup and plays 7.7 and 7.3 instead, so the result is that WW2 is worse than it has ever been, with these nations lacking vehicles at 7-7.7 they’re getting rolled over and over by these really strong vehicles that have no counter.
Haven’t played a single game that was 6.7 top, so this decompression is useless, as predicted, and just created a black hole that France and Russia benefit from.
Thought the same as I saw the new BR distributions. Some vehicles will have a hard time, like the Leoprad 1 with just heat, no stab, no thermal, no laser ranging, no hunter killer mechanic (no armor). This will be interesting when you see what this one will be put up against.
IS-6 is frontally pennable by many opponents even at lower BRs. I mostly play German 6.7, I should know. Also the turret weak spot can’t be effectively hidden if you want to actually, you know, shoot.
It’s fine at 7.3. Heavies SHOULD be hatd to kill frontally.
Speaking of 7.3, I got the Ru 251 as a Leo substitute. When I unlock the current battle pass German vehicle, which is more than capable of being uptiered, I’ll take it to 7.3 too. The JPz 4-5 is also perfectly capable at 7.3 still, having the same cannon as the Ru.
The basic problem is that you raised and pushed all the nations to USSR tier 4-5, whose armor protection is the best. I tested it in the last 3 days, practically over 90% the team that has the USSR → wins. This really messed up the principle of proportionality.
It is a different role, but I doubt that prevents it from being considered the top tier vehicle in a lineup if it comes to it, right now in a 7.3 game against an IS-6 there is no tech tree vehicle equal to it.
I don’t get the new BR changes. I tried playing a 6.7 line-up, and was low tier every battle. I played a 6.3 line-up…low tier. I played a 7.7 line-up…low tier. Hmm. 7.0? Low tier.
And Russian… it is called over population resulting in poor data collection and so no real balance. But balancing with 10 nations, plus air involvement, and all the variety (or not depending on nation) across each BR increment is just a recipe for… current War Thunder.
Players pushing as high as possible and as quickly as possible and mainly focused on popular nations means most games are naff.
One recent game I had we were losing fast but managed to pull it even to last the full duration with us slightly ahead on tickets but otherwise on the back foot (SPAA and a light Swiss TD with no armor, not the PkvII, and whatever I ended up in maybe my 5.7. Japan). Hurtgen Forest, cap control even, one of my side was adamant we should push on in the last 2 minutes despite my advice to win (winning means better modifiers in my mind). Fortunately the two deaths due to the enemy in much stronger vehicles happened just as we got through the last ten seconds and saw my two teamies die after it ended. I am never sure why people actively try to lose.
Since win rate is all down to individual players and not teams it gets annoying to be so bad I can’t carry every game!
8.0 and 9.3 are now 100% (near enough) uptiers. 8.3 and 9.0 might as well be as well. You decompressed the entire top 3rd of the spread to give a minority player base an easier time in frankly a BR range that wasn’t bad. Some nations may have had it a little worse off but thats the case for one nation or another at any BR you choose. 0.7 BR spreads and decompress 9.3+. Queue times WILL NOT be an issue.
QUEUE. TIMES. WILL. NOT. BE. AN. ISSUE. Somebody translate this into correct Russian.
They have to separate the BR A 0.7 into overtiered figures, because after the BR change it has become somewhat absurd, how can you pit a 1951 T54 against the XM803, Type 69 IIG or Chieftain Mk10, it is completely crazy. If they are going to do things so important, they should first look even a little at the problems it could generate, instead of modifying important things without testing or paying a little attention to what they are doing.
