New BR changes are super dumb

Both, 6.3 and 6.7 against an IS-6 is miserable, and I’m sure it’s miserable for an IS-6 to go against 8.3 and now 8.7.

Looks like the vehicle is difficult to balance, guess that means it has to be removed from the game following their own rules.

It’s being given a new round and its armor is effective up to 8.3 I think it’ll be fine

There is no point raising VRCC BR to 9.7…

What kind of metrics Gaijin used for this?

Let’s call it a nerf to heavies then.
But I hugely prefer it this way than when the soviets heavies were’nt moving.

Not true at all.
You’ll have to pray you are going to face 6.7 vehicles, because otherwise there’s a really high chance you will get HEATFS’d or ATGM’d.
Yet another heavy that’s been brought at the brink of irrelevance.

Also quite weird because, out of all the late, heavily-armoured IS tanks, it is the easiest to kill, and the one whose weakspot cannot be mitigated by the player.

What I think is happening is that the Soviet 7.3 lineup as a whole has experienced a surge in results since the recent decompression left it as one of the strongest overall lineups in the game, especially if it was paired with France, which also ended up being incredibly strong at 7.3. This might be the reason why it is moving up.

That said, this could actually work if only they decompressed everything above it too. As we keep saying…

Honestly, all heavies at 7.7 are kinda shit, maybe mediocre is a more fitting word, the only one I sort of enjoy is the M103 and I only use the stock AP, second one is the Conquerer, play for the 2-planes stabilizer, that thing can reliably ufp T-55s but lack of finishing blow compare to the M103, where it has trouble ufp the T-54/T-55 with its stock AP. Overall I’m really not enjoying the russian heavy 7.7 that much due to the long reload and having non-existent gun depression, furthermore the 122mm is kinda crap when uptiered to 8.3, already feel underwhelming. 7.3 used to be my favorite, but now it’s completely gone, like poof, disappears.

I bug reported the Conqueror in 2018 for front armor bug, going to be fixed any day now surely.

Heavies aren’t fun because they rely on armor and they get balanced to a point where their armor is mostly useless, they don’t get any of the gadgets that light tanks get, they don’t get the no armor best armor meta, they don’t get the mobility to capture zones for points, they don’t get to flank, they no longer get points for bouncing shots, assuming that ever happens and really no reason to play them over light tanks.

There’s a massive late-heavy witch hunt going on right now, not only from mere mortals like us, but by quite big content creators like TEC.
He seemed pretty happy that IS-6 is moving up, while also demanding IS-3 to go up to 7.7 as well, which is pretty hilarious to hear from someone that has years and years of experience.

I don’t get it, people are fine with heavies at (or before) WW2 range, but are suddenly aggravated when same thing is applied to 7.0 - 8.0 range, while going on their frenzy rages: “Oh nooo my go-kart medium/light can’t lolpen heavies with 10HP/t and 20s+ reload, pls nerf”.

I don’t know, I can’t really see how/why their 7.3 lineup was so strong, at least from my point of view.

Yeah, the one thing we need so we can finally stop seeing those “X vehicle op”, “Y vehicle sucks” threads.

7.7 heavies are an epitome of powercreep.

Fixed it for you, no problem.

The Soviet 7.3 lineup was literally just the IS-6. Now it’s just the IS-3.

So you have a situation where you risk an entire uptier for ONE single vehicle, which is not exactly optimal.

The good thing with the IS-3 moving up is also the fact that Tigers won’t have to face it, which was my main concern.

Yeah that would have been ridiculous, I don’t want to shit on Tiger 1’s with the IS-3 (why the Tiger went to 6.0 is beyond me when one stayed at 5.7).

The IS-3 is a bit of a dead tank now though. It’s only compatriot being the BTR-80A which in all honesty does better in uptiers anyways (due to the low armoured early cold war vehicles instead of WW2/Post war behemoths).

If you want to add the IS-3 into a 7.7 lineup, you’re just best off taking the IS-4M.

They removed the competition, at 7.3 Germany has a Wiesel and at 7.0 a Kugel so you play against Tiger lls, Japan has nothing of value, Italy has nothing of value, only France did and they were on your side a lot.

I remember I got lfp’d by a freaking panther LoL confused the hell outta me. No wonder why.

I reported it after getting killed from the front by an SPAA and figured something wasn’t right.

it feels like many players got caught offguard by this and now are overwhelmed … the matches are so bad …

Making the Tiger E 6.0 basically undoes the first BR changes to stop cold war tanks fighting WW2 tanks,
And why on God’s green earth are all the high tier Japanese tanks getting upped in tiers? Since when were people wanting the 87 RCV at a higher BR?
This kills the game for me.

Just like Tigers shouldn’t face IS-3, IS-3 shouldn’t face stabilized dart slingers at 8.3.
This problem just keeps moving from one vehicle to another, nothing really can be solved without finally moving our top tier above 11.7.

Dead in both performance and lineup potential.

T-69 II G is now unplayable, how it can fight with TURMS? All of this changes just sucks.

What i disagree with is the IS tanks being bullied, IS-6 should NOT BE NEAR 7.7
