New ARCADE aiming

This is what they always do and the mods don’t care to do anything about it because these are the naval forums.

I’m not sure there’s much we can really tell you. The aiming system system has very little skill index since it more or less plays the game for you with extra RNG slapped on. The inability to line up your shots with predicted enemy movement means you are often just at the mercy of the system not giving you the option to improve your shots. Plus, you get the normal exaggerated gun spread found in both AB and RB. It’s not necessarily that you are bad at the game.

Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

Often the system undershoots or overshoots depending on where you point at the hull. Again, there’s not much you can do to control this, but you can at least look where the shots are tending to fall and adjust up or down. Sudden course and speed changes are more beneficial in AB now due to the increased mobility and aimbot to correct for your movement. So, you could try that if you’re really pinned down by an enemy.

You could also be sinking a lot in AB because there’s more players. If they were using the RB aiming system, you might have an advantage with practice. Or if you’re bad at RB, it still might feel less punishing because there’s less players and therefore more bots to farm. Either way, you’re dealing with a very high “time to kill” in Arcade.
