Hu? Mig-23MLD is still by far one of the strongest aircraft of its BR.
Especially in SB. Literally the only thing that comes even close is the FGR2 in the British TT and in that you have to remain on the defensive or force the Mig-23MLD to fight on your terms. Like at altitude.
had it a few times happen when I shot them at f-14´s… or su25´s…
not to mention R24R is INVISIBLE to all western RWRs most people will see smoke and assume its a IR missile

uh… never had that issue, but what you can do is switch the radar off and the R-24R will guide via IOG
R24R opperates J band which cant be picked up by most RWRs
True, but Mig-23MLD is a lot lot stronger than basically anything at 11.3 and is easily the equal to at least half of what is at 12.0. Several aircraft at 12.0 should be an equal BR to the Mig-23MLD like the non-agile eagle Phantoms (like the F-4Js) and should be a higher BR than stuff like the F-104s
i love F4J(us) its just so mid and fights F18 with a better kit 24/7

idk my F5s and F4 do struggle to pick it up similar things happen to mig 21 R3R which ghosts you but not to bug a problem

if it isnt stronger than most of the 11.3 stuff why should it be 11.7?? and the thing with 12.0 is that it has not the same armament strengthwise than other aircraft. r60 and the radar stuff limit the aircraft to 11.7… personally I think the 12.0 f4´s are strong than the mig23 overall…
and in air rb its much more important which radar/rwr, which and how many missiles and which counter measures the jet gets… raw performance isnt that important for being in a br
dont get me wrong the performance is also important but it doesnt determine not that often how many kills you´ll get.
The F-4s at 12.0 are slower than th Mig-23MLD, bar the FGR2/FG1 which can just about match it. It still turns better than most things at 12.0. It has all-aspect IRs where most still only have rear-aspect IRs and the Mig-23MLD has a very strong suite of CMs at 72 large calibre. It also has the best SARH missiles only really beaten out by the 12.3+ SARH.
The Mig-23MLD would struggle no more than most of the 12.0s already do in an uptier, but there are things at 10.7 that should never ever be seeing a Mig-23MLD.
Yes that BR is compressed and that doesnt help much, but the Mig-23MLD still remains the strongest 11.7 in game and could easily handle being 12.0.
not to mention R24R is better than any lobotmized aim7 model lately
both planes would suffer in a full uptier, its no real solution bc gaijin just adds some aircraft where is doesnt belongs and the stats dont prove it bc they are many wallet warriors… I wouldnt argue that the mig23 should be moved upwards I would rather see other planes move down if gaijin doesnt do a decompression…
I think the f4´s just have better bvr capabilities/better missile loadout so it should be a bit higher if they do a decompression…
and long range aim9´s are better than r60´s the early mig29/f16 meta has prove that… the f16 players just shot a their 9l´s at the furball at 4-5km distance which wast even a lock from the 60m… so the IR missiles arent an arguement…
