Nerf AIM-120A/B

If Gaijin decides to add F-22 Raptor or F-35 and NOT Su-57 or even Su-35, then u’re going to say that Russian Bias still exists because Su-30SM has x14 missiles?

having lots of missiles doesn’t mean its good.
and i agree with u, R-77-1 is too OP, i had the luck to kill a MiG-15bis at 10km while flying at 450km/h in the test flight.

It should either work or not work. RNG has no place in the game.

technically, chaffs are small metal pieces that make the radar missile think that small metal pieces are a 15tons mach 2 plane.
notching puts the missile into a “SRC” mode, and chaff make it get into “TRK” mode while seeking the chaff.
so its very useful or obligatory to use chaff in my opinion

It matters a lot in 16v16 circus that is ARB currently. Having 2-4 BVR missiles sucks major ass, having to rearm in these matches that are over in a few minutes is usually pointless, and being able to rain down hell on the furball without caring about using what few precious missiles you have is a huge bonus. I’ve had considerably more fun in the su30 than I did in the typhoon, even if on paper 1v1 the typhoon wipes the floor with the su30, unfortunately its not a 1v1 game, just because the su30 has double the amount of BVR missiles, and that just makes the gameplay in ARB smoother.

I would kill for a 1v1 mode for ARB. Just spawn planes like X KM away from each other, weapons off till merge and then go. Would be able to practice dogfighting without spending 90% of the game climbing/posistioning etc. and would be able to get better at dogfighting in a day what I could do in a month currently.

This is correct to my knowledge

the “propagation” from multipathing is what the Mpath mechanic is trying to imitate in war thunder

Theres false ghosts of the aircraft but that doesn’t mean it wont stay locked onto the right radar feedback, in other words making it guaranteed safety makes the mechanic less realistic. Would also make the floor hugging issue far worse than it already is

If it’s going to be a game mechanic, it can’t be RNG. Literally nobody enjoys RNG gameplay. Nobody enjoys being killed because multipath decided it wasn’t going to work this time but will work next time but then won’t work

Floor hugging is a symptom of the issues air RB has, not something to be gotten rid of like it’s the cause of issues.

But it could and should be set to be on a per missile basis and not a flat 60m, which is way too high.

Defending via MP should be a last ditch method for niche scenarios, not the go to

Sure if you want to massacre whats left of top tier gameplay. It won’t be playable without multipathing. Dozens of aircraft will also be made far worse than they already are. It’s just a shit idea driven by people who want “muh realism” without considering the actual effect it will have on the 16v16 matchmaker in RB.

This is quite literally how it works…

people are getting annoyed because they don’t understand what is being simulated. once you understand its not a magical invisible shield in the skies from advanced AAMs you will huff less copium

it should vary a lot more and never be the first effort but the final ditch attempt

I didnt realise top tier aircraft didnt have chaff. Must be a Typhoon only feature then

It doesn’t matter. You know full well this game isn’t realistic. MP is what keeps 16v16 playable.

You feeling particuliarly disingenuous today or are you just not skilled enough to realize how important multipath is in current air BR meta to do anything of value in many aircraft? How do you suppose I get kills in F-16A (13.0) without utilizing MP in 14.0 games? Use your brain before smacking your fingers on the keyboard.

Lawnmowing is a lot like base bombing, its a crutch that just makes you a bad player as long as you depend on it. If you just start climbing and learning how to actually defend, sure you will get your ass handed to you for a while, but in the mid/long term you become a much better player. I got so tired of doing it myself i just decided i’d climb no matter what and focus on learning how to survive even if it meant I was dying literally every match till I got the hang of it.

This is dumb, to put it bluntly. It’s a tool to be used, especially to facilitate aggression in aircraft that otherwise wouldn’t be able to do so.

just no lmao.

not holding W into the middle of the map where everyone is looking is what makes air battles playable.

don’t play dumb and you will always exceed

My average altitude in both RB and SB is 20-30k ft. Im rarely if ever sat at a MP height in msot aircraft I play, and those that I am, its more because im explotiing ground clutter/terrain masking as much as I am Multipathing. Even when below 60m though, I do not just ignore incoming SARH/ARH threats because im down low, I would always notch and chaff if I wasnt confident the missile was going to be defeated kinetmatically.

Go ahead and elaborate how something like F-104S.ASA will be played without MP currently, or how something like F-16A (13.0) plays into 14.0 without MP currently?

you don’t, you arent even a 13.0

So you don’t use every tool at your disposal and perform worse because of it.
