In either case, even if I could carry that many, or perhaps the better example for me would be the mockup of a Typhoon with 14x Meteors. I think the sheer loss in performance would probably not be worth it.
Its probably why it doesnt seem anyone runs AMRAAM/Meteor on the inner pylons of the Typhoon, heck, the TMC for carrying 2x ASRAAM/IRIST-T seem rarely used in most images Ive seen.
The extra drag for hauling a large number of missiles can be both a blessing and weakness.
Let’s say that if Gaijin is looking out for upgrades from the already sweet-placed Su-30, even the Tranche 3A w/double pylons should comfortably join the discussion/table, along a later Strike Eagle and further variants of existing platforms for other nations.
As long as the current RB/SB statu quo exists, quantity is as relevant as quality at top tier.
With regard to the Typhoon, at the moment, I just want full strength CAPTOR-M and if that cannot be added for whatever reason, CAPTOR-E. Then there are a half dozen annoying little unfinished components like HMD, MFDs and even the VWS is a placeholder at the moment.
After that ASRAAM would be immensely powerful addition to the Typhoon at this time or if that is too much , Aim-120C5 so that the Typhoon gets a quality if not quantity advantage in the BVR theatre, though im not sure if I want Gaijin to pull the trigger on newer AAMs no matter much fun I think they would be.
Additions like ECM, BOL overhaul, etc would probably be the better option to come first
Gaijin stands by their “historically accurate modeling” so vigorously that they refuse to even consider placeholder Seekers for the Brimstone or AGM-114L and yet let BOL be in its current state. Its stupidly hypocritical.
But ultimately, Britain more than any other nation, is hamstrung by the state of BOL. 7/8 Rank VIII aircraft are dependent on BOL and thus are underperforming. So many balance issues could be resolved by simply fixing BOL.
