how so? Almost all Planes with Aim 120s are underperforming compared to planes that use R77-1 and MICA
Sounds like a Skill issue to me.
and besides. What would you nerf? Its already underperforming rather singificantly.
and then if Aim-120 was “nerfed” to equal R-77-1, we would then need Aim-120C5 to balance the fact that Su-30SM has 2-3x the number of AAMs that most AMRAAM carriers have. Either that or nerf the R-77-1
Though does sounds like you just want the soviets to be completely OP and uncontested in the sky.

F-15 is capable of carrying AMBER and quad racks
Interesting, though gaijin added the dual racks on the flankers as a buff as well as increasing the HMD range up to 20km from original 10, because of their poor performance at that time.
I don’t think the F15 currently is in such a desperate situation to having to equip, what like 16 amraams to compensate?
If they get thrust vectoring, I want missile truck
To be honest, I think F-15E with 16x AMRAAM would be more of a nerf than a buff, at least early game, you would have so much drag and weight that the main advantage it currently holds would be totally lost.
I think it can take 18 bc AMBER rack on middle hardpoint
In either case, even if I could carry that many, or perhaps the better example for me would be the mockup of a Typhoon with 14x Meteors. I think the sheer loss in performance would probably not be worth it.
Its probably why it doesnt seem anyone runs AMRAAM/Meteor on the inner pylons of the Typhoon, heck, the TMC for carrying 2x ASRAAM/IRIST-T seem rarely used in most images Ive seen.
The extra drag for hauling a large number of missiles can be both a blessing and weakness.
I think 12 would be a sweet spot between extra payload and maintaining performance

Though whether the F-15E even needs that buff is of debate.
I think the Priority needs to be on a TWS+ overhaul to finally get M-Scan radars into a good place
