The proxy round being removed makes it worse than M247 which is currently 9.0.
The proxy round being replaced with timed fuse makes it at best on-par with M247.
2S38 as a SPAA would be 9.7 at the highest with its proxy round.
LAV AD is 10.0 because of Stingers, which 2S38 doesn’t have.
ADATS is 11.x because of its missiles, not because of its gun.
If they don’t do much, what’s the harm or removing them ?

Which would honestly be fine, because the Dart is what makes it obnoxious.
The APHE would make it play far more cautiously and people would lean towards the intended purpose of the tank, being a multirole SPAAG
It would move down in BR.
It should keep the correct APFSDS instead of moving down in BR.
The dart is what makes it 10.3, removing places it below 9.7, as per your suggestion.
That is a net positive, as people won’t be playing it as the brawler/W spam that they currently are, and would instead lean towards well executed flanks or SPAAG gameplay, and the complaints of ‘2S38 OP’ would subside instantly, because it would become the vehicle it was meant to be.

Only way of doing this right would be to remove current 2S38 from sale and add 2S38 (no dart) premium at 9.7 or something.

2s38 is so painfully mid. The darts don’t even to much to a MBT, especially frontally. However at least it can still pen places. Removing it would just make the tank so much worse
Try playing literally every single IFV in the game and then repeat that sentence

Try playing the 2s38 while facing MBTs frontally. Or even try it at a flank because sometimes before you can even kill the tank the tank gets to turn it’s turret and shoot you
And you do know that the IFVs with darts often has a much higher fire rate than the 2s38, right?
And thats different in, for example the PUMA? Or the Strf 9040C?
Awesome, that just means you can get double the non pens in half the time compared to the 2S38
No you don’t get it comrade, NATO tech is so superior, 2s38 suffers we need to be fighting ww2 tanks because our not-in-service SPAAG is so underpowered.
I’d like @J-16D_PLA to try and play the Namer or Cv9035, and see how ‘bad’ the 2s38 is then

The puma has missiles. I don’t really know with the other tank. But the missiles that puma has makes it better than 2s38.
No? That also means that there will be way more shells that do pen and they’ll do more damage.
