INTRODUCTION
Here i present an idea for a new techtree, to show that there is an option to add these three countries as an indepentent techtree for a number of reasons wich i have written in this discussion post. by separating some of these planes, there will be much more space and less dilemmas when adding more of the Swedish and Finnish vehicles in their tree. there will also be bigger variety, of vehicles and play styles in the game. Those who are a big fan of Swedish or Finnish vehicles would then have the chance to play those instead of grinding trough all the No, Den and Icelandic vehicles. and opposite! Also when the Naval trees would be added, it would be no way to combine all the Scandinavian vessels in the same tree, that would be way to much. those 3 nations combined will with both coastal and Bluewater combined have close to 150-200 vessels even! it’s eventual implementation could also inspire for more similar sized trees to be implemented.

If you see any missing vehicles or have any ideas on how this tree can be improved, please don’t hesitate in commenting it. I am trying to improve this suggestion as much as i can.

They should be merged into one swedish tt.

This tree combined with the NDI ground, bluewater and coastal trees should work fine together. That is part of the reason i suggest it, like a series i mean.

Here is some numbers, of what the serie would consist of:
Ground:110x
Air: 95x
Bluewater: 54x
Coastal: 200x
Helicopters: 1-3x

Both having some in the swedish techtree or in this proposed techtree would work fine. I fully understand that this tree might look like copy paste, but the numbers i have shown in this suggestions are real. I have gone trough the planes looking for their specs and eventual changes, and i have callulated it.

With the word “unique” eich i used in the suggestion i mean: a vehicle that is either self built, self designed and built, heavely modified, lightly modified or configurated differently from others

In this tree we have both self designed and built planes, heavely modified, lightly modified planes wich Norway has cooperated to develop and much more

Here is some of many reasons for a ndi tree

  1. The swedish tree is good enough as it is and with all the remaining swe and fin vehicles it will be pretty good!

  2. Bigger variety in vehicles and playstyles for the players

  3. More money to keep the game running and mantained

  4. More content, wich keeps the players. It is always exiting to get a new tree and new vehicles

  5. Players who prefers to only play swedish, finnish or both’s vehicles has the oppertunity to do so

  6. If those were to be added as subtrees the SF tree would be too big, issues with space and an intense grind

  7. The naval trees are too big to be combined

  8. Some of the ndi vehicles are new to the game and would pose a new treath to certain vehicles

And if anyone has tips to make the tree better that is more than welcome👍

What he said.

Do you even play the game? Who would even want to play planes with a top speed barely reaching 250 km/h at 1.7? Many of the tier I aircraft are almost useless, other completely unusable.

many :D

Check the pool results…

I am fully aware of the poll results.

someone doesnt like the idea of a separate tree
someone doesnt want the planes¨
or someone doesnt want something else

someone want a separate tree
someone want the planes

different opinions :) always someone who want and dont want, and even if it eventually was implemented, even better. then people can choose to play another tree instead ex sweden

While this suggestion meets my requirements for rank 1 - 8 existing; my requirements for more than 3 vehicles per rank is not met; Yes I had this problem with Japan getting its air tree completed.
Having only the F-5 to unlock rank 8 with does not seem fun.
I am addressing that RF-35 is there, and I will not comment further as I personally wouldn’t use that.

I completely forgot to comment rank 4 is only Spitfires… I don’t hate much, but not sure I could use exclusively a Spitfire to unlock F-84s to then unlock F-100s to then unlock an F-5A that I’ve done already in China & USA. No seriously, I used a premium Spitfire in USA.

There’s not a single aircraft that wouldn’t also fit in one of the already existing trees, and even better. And not a single unique/local type.

There are unique/local ones, tough most are old

The Marinens Flyfabrikk planes are designed and built in norway, the heinkel he 115’s are heavely modified etc, i made some suggestions for those vehicles wich should show the modifications and history :) plus more

Newer planes such as the short sunderlands, sabres, f-35, f5 arr modified

What i am suggesting is a techtree “serie” with ground, Air and naval. Air might be the weakest part here, but with the other trees i guess it would work

Ground forces 110 79%
Air forces 95 65%
Naval bluewater 54x 87%
Naval coastal 200x 94%

Also, what i mean by the word unique is:
A vehicle that is built and designed by said country
A vehicle that is heavely/light modified by said cojntry
A vehicle that had recieved configurations unique to any other (modified)

Some, not all of them as i do t have access to pc right now

Well, if you count modifications in, I appeal that we get a Swiss tree as well, as with few exceptions all our aircraft and tanks were modified, and - for some aircraft and quite a few ground vehicles - are local developments.

Our navy would look a bit poor however…

But we have one.

Really!

= )

Swiss D.3800 and it’s derivatives are aircraft I would so adore to play, they definitely add a huge appeal for a Swiss air tree in my opinion.

Naval would be the best part of this suggestion, as it is the most important defence here

More techtrees is a good future in my opinion, taking many things in consideration. Trees with 1-2 nations or more combined

Switzerland has many nice vehicles from the suggestions i have seen, a techtree would in my opinion woek, so would and does austrailia, canada czechoslovakia, poland, eastern european countries etc :) tons of possibilities

Insignificant modifications don’t make the tree unique

Upgrades such as for example, new additional machinegun, new additional armor, new/different weapons and or weaponsystems, new eigne, are not an insignificant modification

Anyways what is the problem of implementing a new techtree with a mix of both unique and not unique vehicles? If it s a separate tree, players can choose whether to play it or not. ;) A new techtree would not impact players as much as a subtree would, if you are good on your way grinding a certain tree, and then there suddenly are added more vehicles one have to grind to go further, that would not happen if it was a new techtree

Out of the multiple, hundred thousands of warthunder players, only a portion of them are active on this forum. Even tough there are many ideas here that are very unpopular, there are still many players who would use and play those new techtrees if implemented, and be happy for that, i know about many :)

no to centralisation, yes to decentralisation ;) more techtrees, would be a nice future in my opinion

My opinion is quite different. If a country had a very small industry and doesn’t have almost any original vehicles of their own, then it shouldn’t be added as a standard tech tree.
If someone wants to play the F-16, then he’ll choose the American tech tree, while another player who wants to play the Vampire, will pick the British tech tree.
Other than that, I don’t think your tt proposal looks good. Too many useless/unplayable aircraft and br holes.

sorry but i don’t think this tree has any indigenous plane that’s faster than 240 km/h, this just isn’t going to cut it
now i do think that a tree can take a fair bit of copy paste before being a bad tree, but those few unique planes would be far better off in the swedish tree

Part of the reason i suggest this air tree is for it to be combined in a serie with ground and naval, but i guess that is kinda self saying lol

It has some old slow planes yes, the slowest being the hydroplanes. There is like 20 more planes, og that era, i was planning to go trough them see if any of them could replace some of the planes i have added. There are also some Dansih planes wich i havent found, since i have bad acess to sources from there

As long as half/under half are copy/unmodified it should be good
