They fire at the target aircraft. Bombs being in the bullets’ path between it and the target is simply a happy accident and since bombs are usually so close together, it causes the initial bomb that is hit by a bullet to explode all other bombs near it.
I have had bombs from a level bomber end up getting intercepted automatically after that bomber turned away, it’s not just bullets happening to hit bombs dropped from a dive bomber. In either case, naval AA is extremely strong and aircraft ordnance is very weak in comparison.
Nothing says ‘healthy game’ like players spamming the exact same vehicle over and over, especially when its obvious it needs a BR raise.(see BMPT in ground for an example)
The saving grace is its an Event vehicle because if the Botters had access to them it would be Moffet Spam Mk2!
My K/D in Luigi after 60+battles is 13+, and If the match maker gave me more downtiers it would be higher still.
I recently had a 22 kills, 30k damage, 7075 score RB game in it; I’m pretty sure if the score calculation wouldn’t have been changed recently I’d have come close to my previous best score of 9600, achieved ages ago with Des Moines.
That being said, Luigi is very much a glass cannon and highly susceptible to being taken out quickly by competent players in equivalent cruisers and 5.3 DDs.
I like to use my Luigi to prioritise other Luigis. With so many 1-ship players they can be tapped out of the battle. As long as you avoid the heavies it’s very, very effective as it combines CL guns with DD performance.
Ive described it as a glass cannon elsewhere. Its rather akin to Moffet in this respect as a good player can wipe the floor with the opposition, whereas naval noobs will broadside in open water and go Pop.
I see it being 5.3 where imo the pros and cons will be better balanced . Or they could leave it and it will be forgotten in an few weeks and continue to misbehave in experienced Itaian navy hands.
I was actually surprised they didn’t place it at 5.3. Because Bolzano with similar differences compared to Trento (like Cadorna over Colleoni) went to 5.7 instead od 5.3.
Alhough imo 5.0 is fine for Cadorna and Diaz so far, maybe with a bit of decompression they could go higher. Raimondo Montecuccoli and Eugenio di Savoia are also way better than Cadorna class.
PS Italian cruisers are probably the funniest part of the TT, battleships and destroyers are not that good so far, especially Littorio and Soldati classes, they are worst ships I’ve played in this game, even Japanese river gunboats are more enjoyable. I still hope they unnerf Littorio RoF and accuracy though.
Agreed on all points. Although a raise to 5.3 seems inevitable, it would just be pro forma, as I don’t think there’d be much of a qualitative increase in its opposition. A further re-classification as a 5.7 might possibly be warranted due to its performance alone (we’ll have to wait for the December StatShark numbers to get a clearer picture), but that wouldn’t make sense compared to the rest of the Italian tree.
I assume it will end up and remain as one of those 5.3 premiums, like Moffet and Blagorodnyy, that will provide the average player with at least a dependably steady SL and RP income, with the potential for absolute, unrestricted mayhem in more experienced hands.
I cant see Luigi at 5.7 unless BRs are stretched again, which is unlikely as coastal rebalance is needed far more urgently (aka SKR resurgence). Plus getting Gaijin to change any premium BR/tier is hard enough, let alone a double bump this close to arrival.
5.3 at least takes it above more light DDs, and facing more of the rapid fire Dido, Atlanta etc ss well as having tougher armour to break with more heavies.
Currently playing Barto is defunct with the clear superiority of Luigi/Armando. Chalk and cheese. I wanted to use the end if the BP to unlock camos but its not going to happen now.
The whole game is screwed sideways upside down. They cant seem to even make the smallest dumbest change without destroying the entire game in some way.
I like naval arcade…well for money farming but after today I wont touch it again. 14 matches, 9 were patrol boats vs destroyers and frigates. Machine guns vs 100mm cannons. You cant use torpedoes as even showing a single pixel of your boat means instant death.
This is the most basic, elementary piece of a game and they cant even do that. Went into a battleship v battleship match and literally spent 9 minutes pounding 1 boat only for it to sink and award ZERO kill or assist credit. End of game I had over 400 hits and with0 kills 0 assists. Tons of battered medals and others just no kills or assists.
They lost the plot long ago when they saw how much money they could make. Now its only catering to the money spenders and ensuring their vehicles are OP or without issues.
Would also tell you to track every game without spending any gold or money…do it for a week along with no VIP…Then repeat with VIP and spending. You will see as long as you spend, your games are 10000% better matched, you will have better hit registration and records. Game is a scam but with everyone suffering from sunken cost fallacy, no one quit
I love the arcade naval mode tbh, its enjoyable. I however just learned about distance correction for realistic so maybe thatll make the mode more enjoyable as to not having to aim a screen away to make a shot. In hindsight i shouldve figured it was a setting in controls, just like rangefinding in GRB
OMG, I tried to play 3,3 US PT boats to unlock the PGM-9, they were so fun and now they feel hopless.
Slow torps, they can’t turn and completly ineffective firing .
