Naval mode is finally dead

Intelligence, Perception ?

very little point in doing either
or
can you cite an example where they completely rolled back one of their insane changes for naval ?

we would remain patient if any feedback to our concerns and critics would arrrive here - but there was nothing at all from GJ staff (in opposite to really minor issues as “turret baskets”)

and due to de-compression… they did the opposite! Why not putting Scharnhorst to 8.0, increasing also the BR of some other ships and adjust the BR of planes different to ground (as yet possible)?

in addition there are many people which are not so good in english to write on a public forum - so this might prevent them from beeing active here (only reading)

I would mind there are other Reasons to not write in a public Forum. For bad English there are Things like deepl, it´s working pretty good. For example my Text, I wrote on a german Thread:
“The last major update of naval battles in AB was already rubbish: Within 3 seconds, instead of 14 seconds time (to update) of the green circle, every blind person could suddenly land hits immediately. That really spoiled playing destroyer and speedboat battles. Now it’s even worse: With this system of automatic shooting (and hitting), why should you play anything other than the biggest battleship? And even then, it’s just a matter of clicking and it’s only destroyed immediately if you click directly on the enemy’s ammunition depot.”

I agree and appreciate your frustration, I also share it. However I’m a pragmatist, I prefer to light a lamp rather than curse the darkness. So let me ask you, how many suggestions have you submitted, or polls have you created in the Dev-suggestions section? If the answer is zero to very little then you have just self identified as a chaotic bomb thrower. If that is true, then you will not like what I have to say which is if you are not part of the solution then you are either part of the problem, or part of the landscape. Now I’m not saying if you are or not, but people see through those who do nothing but chew gum and throw wrenches, which may be one reason you are not taken seriously? Just sayin’ … 🙄

So you’re saying those of us that were told to get good or that we had a skill issue, we went to play the game to get good at aiming. Thus we unbalanced the game and discouraged new players with the skill curve. Now we get our legs cut off and told to learn the new system when it’s specifically designed to have nothing to learn.
Kinda sounds like the chaos bombers are Gaijin in this case. With the usual fanbois riding the bombs as they fall.

I might add it’s somewhat difficult to suggest things when we don’t know the problem. There are always common complaints that seem like simple fixes that don’t ever get adjusted or changed. Then we are broadsided by this massive sweeping change that it seems most people never would have guessed would happen.

Also I think devs are taking into account the entire history of Naval which very few players actually have experienced. Myself I’m relatively new and have only grinded a couple trees into battleships and have only a little experience in battleships. I’ve also spent a lot of time in coastal trees spading boats.

My key complaint is that with such a massive change as this, maybe Devs should have been reaching out to the community to discuss the direction naval should take because this is practically a flat out redesign, a new mode entirely.

Oh and by the way, I have made many feedbacks periodically, and they seem to be taken into account. For example, I used to be profoundly irritated by sounds in naval like alarms and such. Those things were tuned, and I was able to enjoy the game a lot more.

Completely agree with the AI AA gunners, that can shoot you with enormous accuracy from 8 km away now.
Before they stopped shooting low caliber AAA guns after 5 km, only shooting large caliber guns, but now small caliber AAA gun shoot you as soon as you spawn.

What pitiful life one must lead to make an account solely to troll on the forums

Bro, I’ve written multiple walls of text of feedback. I’m just hanging out waiting to see future actions unless I can muster the stamina to approach NRB.

What I saw was that you, with 3 games altogether, went on to randomly attack people with skill issue.

Why not use your actual account to leave feedback?

Never feed the troll, basic Internet rule ;-).

Your observational skills and deductive reasoning skills have no equal. I am now physically kneeling to you from across our internet connections.

100%

I think the other guy who said soon they’ll implement a version where you won’t even have to click the button anymore is right. And there is nothing realistic about a computer game about naval battle and actual naval battle. You really want a realistic game where you stare at a map of your area and some radar blips and tell your XO to fire the guns? How interesting. These games are about aiming and the fact that more players are in the lobby is temporary because they are checking out the new mechanics. After a while people will realize how boring it is to click and shoot and the player base will go even lower than before. Before this change things were actually really enjoyable with many close range slug fests with battleships. They really stuck their foot in their mouths with this one.

Really well said.

This is an ad hominem. Stop attacking the man and attack the argument.

As bad as this was, I could deal with it and make manual adjustments to compensate. That way more fun to do than point blindly and shoot. At least I had to think about making corrections.
Actually most of the time the lead indicator just gave me an idea of where to shoot at and then based on splashes I would adjust my aim.

Oh and this is the scene I mentioned where the guns aim could be check from the gunners position or gun captain’s position in the turret of the gun. A former naval officer who served on the Iowa said this was accurate in the movie.
