Naval mode is finally dead

The naval community gave up on suggesting improvements because gaijin doesn’t listen to players anymore. Even prominent CCs like Napalmratte said that they’re being ignored despite having thousands of hours in naval battles. Personally I don’t play naval unless it’s for a challenge, event or the very, very rare daily task. If they nerf or remove the score multipliers for events I’ll stop playing naval completely. Almost every decision they’ve made wrt naval since splitting the bluewater and coastal trees has been moronic. The latest change to arcade aim and AI bot accuracy might be the final nail in the coffin. Even the low coastal tier battles are being overwhelmingly populated by AI bots instead of real players now. Way more than before

I don’t know what you play but BRs 3.3 to 4.3 for boats is like a cat fight and it is not fun!

Also many BP challenges are now broken, trying the Bomber/striker are only possible if you kamikazing.
Also Whaleman is now pure luck, is it so hard for them to fix the A/A bug?

You are joking right?
You just don’t get killed at spawn, the moment you come near anything is insta death.
This goes for both AIR and Ground, A/A gunners are in steroids.

Puting a bandate in a broken leg is not a fix!

why should you kill bots and get good rewards if they can’t fight back, why should you charge straight line at destroyer with a single small boat and shouldn’t be punished for that?

maybe you just used to easymod botfarming, and now can’t do that so easy anymore?

from my point of view it was way more broken before patch, were you must spend same time to kill a bot as a player, but get no reward and they were just decorations and way to easy farm marathons and battlepasses.

The ai aa was even very strong before the aimbot update. Now not only the bots are stronger but also the ai controlled guns on player ships.

Not related to the aimbot update but also very annoying is the now ridicoulos increased prob. that bombs explode by gunfire mid-air or even in the bomb-bay. This often happens when a doomed plane dropped bombs which then can’t do any damage…

Yup, I somewhat enjoyed arcade before…The new aiming system is complete garbage, takes no skill and at the same time is more difficult to get your shells to where you want to go. Not to mention coastal boats get shredded in 2 sec now, so they are useless…i love getting peppered by laser accurate 20mm fire from 14km lol

my impression from some games yesterday are that the ai now starts their fire at shorter distance. It seems a little better as before

Were did I mentioned bots???
Were did I mentioned small boats charging in a straight line? I am not Caster m8!!!
Attacking a lichfield with a V-990 is not punishment, this is what TB were designed for.
Also RN Turbines should not shoots their A/A with pin point acc at a S701 at 5klm!!
I can give you 10 more exambles.

Have you played BR 3,3 to 4,7 and you find it enjoyable or you just play Battleships?

Sorry but in many maps it feels like cat fight.
Upon spawn it is raining fire, games are quicker than playing JETs.

Yea sure, even in real life a WW1 Destroyer was not easy to target and one shot PT boats at long distances.You can’t be realistic in DD vs TB part but on the other hand completly unrealist regarding targeting.

Also this should not be happening!

At flat earth and totally calm sea as we have in game, why it must be not easy to aim and hit?

I answered you already but even this was an exemption due to calm seas and a very good player

aiming at green circle that appeared in 2 secs not making player “good”

Do you realize that you when you shooting in that condition you gonna be same accurate, and that gun have that range. I even before patch have no problem killing targets with 40mm at that range.

it’s either nerf all guns for all ships accuracy or none, devs chose none, cause of damage model they
chose and implemented(and i think this right cause it toned down TTK either
we would be killing targets as it was with Battleships before last ammo explosions buff, and BS will can’t kill anyone with that nerf). Single shot damage now is almost unnoticeable for most cases, i think until no incretion in that, no accuracy nerfs needed. Yes AI accuracy may be a bit tweaked but not to the point where it was before patch, and even now maneuvering target can easily dodge shots if it has speed and distance.

No point on taking a PT boats trying to torpedo even basic Destoyers.

Landing some shots and not insta kill due to being a very good player is not the norm.
Thats the whole point of all these posts !!

By the way 40 mm/39 Vickers-Terni 1915/1917 have a maximum range of about 3,800 yards which is about 3,475 m so even in real life you would not reach that PT boat.
Given that the Effective Range was 1,200 yards //1,100 m it would be safe to lunch your fishes at 2,5 klm

If you think that’s the bug report it then. But realize that you gonna nerf all those guns even on small boats where they gonna fight against 20mm and beyond who shoot way far.

Regardless “like or not the new aiming system” they rushed making changes that brought a whole mode back to Early access if not BETA.
Actuallly this is what everybody is trying to say to you.

Dropped in a match that was like, 5v5 full and of bots and just quit. Arcade sucks now. Don’t know when I’ll play Naval next. Good Job killing it to those responsible.

This is the most frustrating part of dealing with your arguments. You simultaneously say that you should just put up a suggestion and vote, and also that polls aren’t accurate. You say that no one listens to anyone on the forums, but we should post on the forums if we want changes,

This was YOUR suggestion, and even on your own suggestion post, the majority of people voted against it.

I understand that means you have to argue for it even in the face of hundreds of people asking for it to be changed back, but stop dismissing everyone else as either angry, bad, or inexperienced.

A lot of us enjoyed the old naval arcade system flaws and all. We (North American forum players) didn’t ask for the change. Not only that, but there was no communication about it. Now that it’s been implemented, we can’t even get anyone to answer our concerns, I’ve stopped playing naval after something like 10 years and quite a lot of money spent.

I don’t like, and have never liked, playing realistic, so that is not an acceptable answer for me. I will continue to advocate for arcade to go back to the way it was previous to this patch. However, I will also continue to advocate for changes that people HAVE continually asked for such as decompression, better maps, and changes to RP earning/requirements (especially for coastal).

this thread as one of many related to the aimbot update alone has more than 450 posts in 2 weeks. And still is not noticed by GJ (I can only assume this due to exactly zero feedback from them)…
