There were barley of that only ragefind in one sec aim circle with snot at the sea and have some adjustment out of it done, stare at the sea while reload.
where you sit at crosshair and stare at the circle in sea, not even see the opponent half of time if you are in a fast ships both.
in dodge, positioning, map control, knowing your enemy, right use of secondaries, and choosing targets. NAB is more that just play with the circle and stand on the respawn.
You hilariously over-complicate the new aimbot system like it’s full of nuance and decision making as if the previous system was the oversimplified one.
Agree . The update has been out for a week or so , and whereas I was playing an hour or so a day on NAB , I’ve now pretty much quit this mode. I don’t enjoy it and the over simplification just don’t suit me.Tried realistic and don’t know if it’s harder on console but struggling to get to grips with it . Therefore , Naval has lost one average but committed player .
Same. Naval has become my favorite mode over the years. It’s a nice calmer pace and focus than Tanks and Planes. Arcade was the perfect balance of speed and casual while having some challenge. Now… I’m not even sure what I’m going to be playing War Thunder for. …planes from time to time, maybe. IDK. If they don’t un-fahk themselves over this, we’ll see. Put a lot of money into this game, be a shame to walk away but, if it ain’t fun no more… it aint fun.
I did. How else would I be able to comment about laser range finders?
Sure. You need to lead a bit and you need to understand where your shell will hit on the target. But in NAB you also need to figure out how to lead on a maneuvering target. Not just to hit a specific part of the ship but also how to compensate for maneuvers like enemies accelerating/decelerating, turning, zigzagging.
In large ships I always try to play with my speed and zigzag occasionally.
Did you join a game in progress? If so, there’s an option to toggle it off so you’ll only join new matches.
the described issue happens also when joining a new match - I use join in progress - this sometimes prevents from beeing targetted instantly as the enemy is already shooting at the teammates which joined prev.
The problem isn’t only the precicision of the ki aa and sec. but also that the lines of sight are ridicoulos. often one gets targetted beyond visibility, mayby only my smoke or the top of mast is visible - islands spend barely cover. Seems like a small pt boat is as easy to detect at large distance like the yamato
No, I disabled late spawn years ago. It was a fresh game. Got shot right from spawn to spawn. Spawned, saw a disco light show coming from the enemy spawn, exploded… I didn’t even passed the first container ship.
Right now, destroyers and heavy boats just scan the coastal area for a target marker of a boat they don’t even see and blindly fire their AA aimbot.
I could drive a destroyer in circles, or zig zag fiercely, while lobbing shells at another evading destroyer 8km away and hit it. I know how it works.
With the aim bot Arcade Naval scheme, you do not know where your guns are trained. Thus, you have no tools to know where the AI is pointing them at any given moment.
You can’t anticipate where your shots will go if you have no awareness of the elevation or position of your weapons.
That is a large part of the issue. They’ve dumbed down the mechanic AND removed the information needed to make educated shots. You can’t lead a shot if you don’t understand where your guns are pointed.
Which fundamentally changes how Arcade Naval works. It’s Unenjoyable, and an insult to the intelligence of players.
The fact that random people are defending it is wild. That your guns magically do everything for you when you point at the target is a strange disconnect. I’m used to understanding what is going on with my ship, and making decisions based on that. NOW… you have no idea what is going on. You don’t know where your guns are when you’re targeting a ship, or when your cursor drifts off. You can’t easily rapid switch between targets and know when to shoot. …its…awful.
Any new players they get into naval over this are going to get bored. From there perspective, they point at a target, and click to shoot it. The rounds go in that direction and hit a ship if its slow or NOT evading enough… or it won’t. And they’ll be frustrated in not understanding why.
“I pointed at that ship and clicked. Why didn’t it hit!”
Nah. We can raise hell, let people be aware of the situation, garner support, and affect change. Like the community has done dozens of times before. Passivity is Compliance. If you’re not interested or invested, you’re welcomed to move along.
