I reported it already, they closed my bug report as if I was talking about the new aiming, without understanding my report, and without addressing what my report actually said:

I also pinged the forum managers multiple times asking for a response and/or to reopen my ticket so that I can have a chance to explain to the Bug Reporting Managers that this IS a bug (realistic aiming option removed/not functional).

Aim at desired spot, press the laser rangefinder button, and shoot.
For older tanks it’s more nuanced and skill-based but I really don’t see people complaining about aiming in ground battles.
I guess you didn’t grind your way into modern. If you did, you’d know how to use an AVRE in Realistic.
The velocities and flight trajectories of modern sabot rounds is flat, but you shoot faraway enough, or on the move, and you need to think.
If all you’re ever doing is engaging your Abrams at 500m then… I get how you wouldn’t know.
Because of my time in Arcade Naval, I can shoot from my tank, on the move, compensating for my movement and the enemies movement. It’s pretty dope.
The dumbed down Naval Arcade AI bot aiming doesn’t provide players with enough information to understand what’s going on, nor how to grow as a player not just in Arcade, but Realistic, or in other game modes. Current Naval Aiming is broken and needs to be returned to working order.
So ask to change it, make a proposal with what information do you need in HUD. Yes current realization is rough but nobody told that it can’t be improved.
Just gave arcade another chance, because I had an easy task. Started in the Schütze boat on the map with the containerships, a quite good coastel map. Started, 5 seconds in the game, a barrage of 20mm shells flew over the containerships and shredded me… who greenlighted this change… are they even really do gametesting?
I instantly ragequitted of course.
But appart of that, current arcade feels like watching some other play a 3D shooter and point with the finger on the target he shall shoot.
Either go back to the old system, or remove any target lock.
Its a joke small boats are useless in high tier games, the AA shooting you from 10km dead accurate, and the auto aim is a joke STOP THIS SHIT if you guys want to make naval a succes

If all they did was “shift” the carrot to where the marker was, give us that marker back. Furthermore, it’s an insult to the playerbase. The ones that have been playing, and the ones coming in. No other game mode dumbs down the game this awful. It’s absurd.

I, and much of the playerbase, are proposing a reversal of this terrible catastrophe of a decision. Clearly made by people who don’t play naval.

The New Arcade Aim Bot system implemented is the antithesis of how aiming works anywhere else in the game. It’s a disservice to the players that have been playing for years, and to those trying Naval Arcade for the first time. It. Must. Go.

Just wasted a 500 silver booster… started a game of naval and forgot I still was on arcade… M-802 and Lübeck were annihilated in seconds by cruisers 10+ km away … great… not by main guns, by the way, secondaries and AA…
spared my third ship and dropped out…

Why you think this wouldn’t be the same with old aiming? Regefinding is only 1 sec in previous patch. And i always kill those pesky vermins first, if i can reach them, regardless of aiming system.
