This is not a random reapperance and this exacly what were disputing 500 posts ago!!
They are making changes and they never testing them!!!
They don’t test how it affects game play and after the last updates it is clear they don’t even test if they have the intendeed effect.
By the way you were insisting that “this is how the community works” and we were telling you that making the DEV server available does not mean the players will become free beta testers.
as the re-appearance of old bugs happens quite often I really assume that they went back using old codes aka making developments based on older versions - deleting newer bugfixes…
Yeah, just like we said it should be lol. I really hope they stop ruining naval. I still am not going to play OR spend money on War Thunder Naval until they “allow” me to use the old Arcade Aiming.
It’s a slippery slope guys. Everyone should have complained much more strongly when they first ruined the Arcade aiming. They will keep dumbing down naval unless we stick together and refuse these types of horrible changes that are turning Naval into a literal AFK mode.
Were you playing with the Russian 37mm CIWS?
Are these things ever jam from overheating?
The Asheville’s 3" likes it very much to block, but well it is not Russian made… 😂
this was done quite often and intensly in several threads incl. a poll- there are much more posts vs thsi change as to the damage control changes - but unfortunately w/o any effort and even no response from GJ up to today
I don’t agree, they turned a quirk learning gunnery game into something more balanced by changing the way aiming works, similarly new DC is at least an attempt to limit the invulnerability of bigger ships and increases the tankyness of those without large amounts of AA.
Maybe I’ll actually bother with NRB in the future since it offers something different now, but my feeling is that arcade mode’s indicators and helpers are actually ‘realistic’ because boats and ships have massive crews.
Considering this entire mode is essentially a mod for an air simulator it’s quite reasonable.
I know 😉 I made one of the those polls, which is still open and ongoing 👇 The issue is that not nearly enough people posted on the main/official threads when the dumbing down was announced. But this time with the damage control changes nearly everyone spoke up, intensely, and they changed to allow us to keep using the old system. That is one of the very simple things that I have been asking for since the aiming change: just let ME choose which aiming mode to use.
This is not valid statement, yes it started as air realistic and moved to tanks and then to ships but this is not a beta. They actually advertise Naval as part of the game and of coarse shell premium ships, so no, this does not explane the terrible status it is at this time.
By the way as you said it started and still advertize as realistic but they steadily make changes that are the complete opposite.
We could sarcastically say that Naval is currently beta quality, but I didn’t use that word anyway, more charitably I called it a mod with implied ‘work in progress’
The primary point I have against the ‘dumbing down’ crowd is that NAB is now MORE realistic than NRB when it comes to representing fighting with large ships.
I do agree that they killed a fun gunnery game, but I’m not missing it so much, perhaps because I’m older and not so interesting in mastering a meta to get ahead - I use persistence and cash instead ;)
Yes I did - I recommend japanese destroyers, they have the long-lance torpedos which are quite fast.
It depends on the map how many matches one needs - some maps are more “torp-friendy” than others.
Best map for this is “fireland islands” where the bluewaters spawn in melee-distance from each other resulting in a slugfest
I don’t recommend japanese torpedo destroyers period unless you know how to do this thing called evading.
Japanese DDs are often less durable than other nations with the added problem of mediocre to poor firerate (with exceptions) with equally (again, with exceptions) ammunition types which is a recipe for being farmed for a free kill. Yes, they have a 20km range with type 93s but anyone that isn’t a bot will immediately attempt to evade a potential torp spread.
The most new kids friendly nation period is the americans; the only times they actually ‘struggle’ as a nation is 5.0-5.3 cruisers and dreadnoughts (primarily their 40 second aced firerate barring one or two dreadnoughts)
The biggest advantage japan has at low tier is the painfully mediocre Kako and assuming it isn’t up tiered.
